Optimism vs. Pessimism

Which one is better? To be a positive thinker or be the negativistic one. optimistic people try to view things in a very clear and positive way. Through this they accumulate hope to continue their tasks. They are still persistent and motivated in times of hardship. Meanwhile, a pessimistic individual sees things in a negative way. They expect that bad result will occur. But, you see, if a particular situation will turn out badly and then a pessimist was right that it would, therefore there would not be much disappointment in his part. Right? I think that this is the good side of being a pessimist. What about you guys? What is your opinion?

Hello!! For me, I see most cases in positive way. I think that is right!! Being optimistic makes your mind healthy and enjoy life better.
I believe being honest and trying our best lead to good results in most cases. Just be honest and try your best,guys!! ok! just think about it.. If you are a pessimist, something turn out badly and you disappoint a little, rt?? If so, Then you think most of the result will be bad.. I don't think so,it has very little probability. I believe god makes no mistake.
But I don't blame pessimist..

Both side has their disadvantages and advantages. First being optimistic really grabs the aura of greatness, you will perceive everything is okay and because of that u tend to be relax, happy, confident and doing great. As to its disadvantage, a optimistic person might turn to be so relax and will not exert any effort in any particular circumstances. Being pessimistic on the other hand, makes you so afraid and pressure and will put uou in a bad situation that u cannot do things so right. however if you know that there are so many bad things that could happen, you'll probably make steps for the betterment of a situation.

I used to be horribly negative about everything and I thought in that way that I would never be too disappointed because its exactly what I expected!
Now that I have changed my thinking to more positive though I see things differently. I have more hope and faith than before. When I was negative I relied on myself more. Now I rely on God more.
When I was negative and things would go bad I would be soo angry. Now I find ways to figure things out.
Honestly my life has been much better and a lot less stressful since I am more positive in my thinking. With positive thinking you can still expect the worst at times but you have hope for the better. It has made me happier thinking and being more positive. I am so glad I am training to be a positive thinker 100% of the time. =)

Optimism is proven to be better for people. However many times, a difficult life can lead to a person being pessimistic. On the other hand, a pessimistic is always prepared for the worst, which can be a good thing, because the fact that he is being prepared about something might result in avoiding it. Just a thought I had.:P All in all, the best thing is to be optimistic, however, always ready and prepared for the worst. I don't really know how this can be achieved though. ^^

IMO the best way to go by is a pessimist one.Because if you don't have any high hopes there's no chance of getting dissapointed so that way you can't get your morale down

I think it's better to be an optimist. I'm unfortunately a pessimist, and while I see how it can be good if you see the backside to everything, optimistic people are happier and see possibilities in everything, and whenever they fall down, they stand up in a second.

I am a firm believer in the power of positive thinking and the law of attraction. The law of attraction is that like attracts like. This is true for all things including your thinking. If you think positively you attract positivity into your life. If you think negatively, you attract negativity into your life. In this way you create your own life journey. By being optimistic and thinking positively you will create a positive journey for yourself. That's not to say that you will not any negativity in your life, as it is very hard to control your thoughts and feelings to remain positive at all times so you will experience some negativity on your journey. However, the more you learn to focus on positive thoughts and being optimistic, the more positive your life journey will be.
