I've been improvising on the guitar for about two years now and I love it!
But when I see videos of some famous guitarists improvising I ask myself how can they do that!?
So I talked with a friend of mine about that and he told to learn some new scales or modes. I only know the Pentatonic, the major and the blues scales at the moment.
But when I searched the web for some scales, I found so many of them that I don't know which one to choose!
Which ones should I learn?

It depends what style of music you want to play! Pentatonic is mainly used in rock. As well as chromatic and Blues. If you wanna shred like Yngwie Malmsteen, incorporate a harmonic minor scale into your playing! Good luck to you! Keep playing!

Choose whatever one appeals the most to you. Some are going to be too hard for you at this point, and others may seem boring so steer clear of those. A lot of improvosing just is based off sitting down and trying anything! You will soon notice what chords work the best for you...and which ones you will make sure not not try again soon.
