I Wanna Grow an AeroGarden, Looking for Your Experiences and Help

For years I've been interested in AeroGardens. I actually bought a couple of them but moved right after I got them and they've been in storage ever since. I live in a small apartment and am about to become an empty-nester again. I want something to occupy my time so I think I might try to grow an indoor garden with my AeroGardens. How do you like using them? Do they work as advertised? Any suggestions for yeilding a bumper crop? I want to be sure I am investing in a worthwhile product before I put more money and a lot of time into it.
