Here I go again with my discussion subject probably might not be what you expect.
Anyway, my friends here know how i love to change my look every 6 months or so. And i've been wearing my hair long for a year already. Had it permed then went back to straight. But now i'm bored again.
You might ask what's with the women and their hair? Well they say that 90% of a woman's beauty can be attributed to her hair. It's our crowning glory. It frames our face. If our hair is styled in a way that doesn't match the angles of our face, it contributes to our unlikely face.
I have done several hairstyles, from boy cut to long hair, straight to permed, different colors including blonde! Now I've told friends i want to cut my hair short again and almost all of them told me that i'd be crazy to do that. Most of my male friends told me that they don't want to see me having a man's haircut!
Now how about you? Do you mind if a woman has this super short hair that of a man?

The last time I had short hair was in primary school... My family members say I should wear it short because it looked good, but that was when I was a kid, so I on't know... I'm afraid to have it cut short But a good short hair cut or bob can look very neat and elegant.
I'm growing my hair now for fun, to see if it can reach my butt by next year, but maybe I get bored of it and have it cut. I have very slippery hair that doesn't hold styles well, unless I use tons of styling products.
It's your hair, so if you like to have fun with it, why not?

Wow! I don't think i could let my hair that long, i mean upto my butt. It would be too tiresome for me to take care of that and oh the shampoos and drying. It's just too difficult for me.

I'd love to see you with long hair and in tight jeans, toni. What do you say about it?

Personally for Religious reasons as I believe our Hair is our glory, there is NO WAY I could ever cut my hair short. I personally due to health reasons do not even perm it as it would make my hair fall our probably. But long hair does look beautiful and more natural and to me the way a woman should look. There are so many things a woman can do with long hair to style it, so for me this is the Best way to go.

I've changed my hairstyle every now and then and yes i've done all sorts of hairstyles. I have a very good hair stylist who knows what to do with the shape of my face and even my skintone.

Well, look, if thats what you want to do then the choice is yours not no one else's. But, in my opinion, it is all up to the woman. Some women look real good in short hair while other do not. Most models can pull it off because they have that sexy look. But some some people it is s stretch. Maybe you should not go real short but somewhere in between.

When I cut my hair really short it just curls. It is really easy to maintain. I have a roundish face and so it just makes it rounder. I have long hair right now, and it should be very gray but for nine months I have been dying it with Henna, so it is very red in places and red brown the rest of the way. I think if you like the really short cuts you should do them. When I get tired of dying my hair I will end up getting it cut short to cut all the color off. It will be interesting to see how long that takes. I bought a pound of henna when I started and I still have a lot, so I will have long red hair for a while.

I want a pixie cut actually.. but then hubby said it will not suit my face frame..as i am quite chubby. i am not sure though but i will follow his opinion this time.
I also tried several haircuts since high school, i have mine layered, bob and the like but never a pixie cut or a boyish cut.. i actually like women who can carry those kinds of pixie cut. My husband's sister-in-law just had her hair fixed to a pixie cut and i really like it, she looks tough and oozing with confidence in it!

A famous stylist once said that pixie hair cuts suit best for women with oblong face and beautiful eyes. That hairstyle emphasizes the eyes more. I've sported that hair style for every stage in my life from grade school to university and until i got my first job!

Hi toni
Of course, I love women (okay, my wife) in long hair. She has a length which reaches little more down the shoulders. My cousin had knee length hair before marriage but after marriage her hubby didnt appreciate and so she opted for shorter hair.
The boy cuts and even the pixie ones(as mentioned by dear jazel above) suit many - it depends on (I think) the profession you are into - and also what you can carry with you.
Even I had my longer hair a few months back. They were touching the shoulders and I loved them. Though I could understand how difficult it gets to manage long hair.

I remember you sporting that long hair and i still have that image of you on my mind.
Anyway, i used to have that pixie hairstyle and i've been sporting that for quite some time. I started having that pixie hair when i was in grade school, then once again in high school and then once when i was a university student and then when i got my first job! My sister told me i look good in it and hubby told me it's more convenient.

I don't mind at all as I like to try different style as well. When my hair get long I will keep it for just a year and then I will cut it short. My mom always get mad to me and asked why I need to cut my hair short and I said I can't stand with long hair. Now I am not sure I want to cut it short or just let it get longer.(^^)

You are truly right to say that 90% of a woman's beauty can be attributed to her hair. I think you are a very creative person who likes to reinvent herself often. That's nice. Now, in terms of you getting a man haircut, my opinion is, why not? I think you would look great. It is just a matter of how you carry your style and looks in front of other people. Always do what makes you happy. Enjoy your crowning glory.

Thank you so much Lauren! I actually have sported that look several times already and i'm not afraid to do it again. My hesitation however grows from friends telling me i shouldn't do it. I think they love my long hair so much that they feel sad that i plan to cut them off.
