Is Archana Vijaya exposing too much?

On Wednesday, April 25, the host in the studios of the Indian Premier League matches was the beautiful Archana Vijaya. I am sure many cricket fans might have already have seen her on another TV channel during various cricket series involving India. The beautiful lady was looking all more attractive and was in her full bloom. She had worn a saree and a blouse - a perfect attire for any Indian woman. However, the way Ms. Archana donned the saree, did certainly not go well, as far as my opinion goes. It really looked very odd to me. I, for one, was certainly offended when I switched on the TV channel saying that there was a rain interruption and there was still some time for the match to start. Ms. Archana had almost reached her cleavage line. I am not opposing the beautiful lady. But I just want to bring it to your attention and know your thoughts on the same.

lol.sorry mate but thats the first thing i did when i first cast my eyes on your discussion.lol. just one question. do you think women like Mandira Bedi and Archana Vijaya get paid for their excellent cricket knowledge and power-hitting interviews? lol. the channels are intending to sell their sexuality so they over do it sometimes for a better pay grade. it must be written somewhere in the contract"the lower the neckline, the higher the hemline, the better the payscale"

Really well said friend "the lower the neckline, the higher the hemline, the better the payscale. IPL People are nowadays trying their best to improve television rating. This is one of the methods. But they can also improve their ranking by good proper cricket. Time will be answering these one day.

I also think it is well said. I think Mandira Bedi was doing anchoring for Set Max for lots of days until she disappeared. I think as you said most of them might have done their homework before presentation.

Well, we cannot doubt their cricket knowledge, to be honest. "do you think women like Mandira Bedi and Archana Vijaya get paid for their excellent cricket knowledge and power-hitting interviews?" this question of yours gives a hint that brains and beauty do not go hand-in-hand. Those ladies might certainly be doing their homework before making an appearance on the show. But I agree with your next point - its an effort to sell the charming ladies' sexuality. The lower the neckline, the better for the viewers too. And yes, the payscale for the ladies must certainly be high for this thing. I remember to have read somewhere that a certain magazine has tagged Archana to be the best thing to happen to the IPL. May be there is no exaggeration in it.

Oh, I don't really remember how she presented herself the last year. I actually didn't follow the IPL that closely. So, I don't know that much about the previous edition. Yes, up to some extent exposing certainly looks nice and attractive. But as you rightly pointed out, the children are a big audience always.

I think most people are coming to see cricket and not fashion show. I think it was not good to expose in events like cricket and there should be other shows where she can do it. I think it was not good exposing and made little too much exposing. I think some of you guys would not agree with me. It is only my opinion.

I would say IPL is 50% bollywood and 50% cricket. In hindi films you would anyhow see such attires, so in IPL you are bound to see this. Some times the cheerleaders also reveal a lot here. But, I am with you that the die-hard cricket fan doesn't ask for this. But IPL is also for the not so die-hard fans and for their entertainment value such episodes happen!! Cheers! Ram

You are right. The presence of Shilpa Shetty, Preity Zinta, Shah Rukh Khan and Tina Ambani are all associated with films in some way or the other. The shortest version of the game has the hottest of everything. The entertainment is hot and so are the cheerleaders and so the anchors. I think Archana Vijaya is the happening lady ahead of Ms. Dandekar (I lost her first name) too. Archana has even overshadowed Mandira Bedi, I guess.
