The size of a person doesn't mean you are immunized to bad eating habits. It's not something that you catch we all have cholesterol they are fat in our body that we need no body has zero cholesterol. There is good and bad cholesterol that people need to survive. So you being thin or skinny has nothing to do with it just what you do has to do with cholesterol.

Those are good eating habits and lot of that can cause high cholesterol you need other things in your diet. Working out or just walking for a couple of minutes can help with it, eating certain grains as well. For some people its more or a genetic marker then it is there own eating habits. I have a every good level even though I eat pretty much what ever i want right now since I am pregnant and even when I'm not I still eat things that I shoudln't with the things I should.

Red meats are worse for people even though they are great for protein. White or soft pink meats are better for a person. To much fish is bad with mercury levels.

Actually this is not new to me. I have known a lot of people who are thin but yet have high cholesterol. I have a large belly but my cholesterol level is at healthy level. It is all depend on the food you take. The things that contribute to high cholesterol is a large intake of food which contain high bad cholesterol (HDL). To help reduce cholesterol, we also need to take food that rich in good cholesterol (LDL). Lower the intake of the food which contain bad cholesterol and take food which rich in good cholesterol. Good cholesterol actually fight the bad cholesterol and reduce it. Make a research on which food you should take more when you had high cholesterol. It will help a lot.

You can be a thin person, but it doesn't mean that you couldn't have any colesterol. It depend how is your nutrition. If you are getting too much food which contains bad fat you will get colesterol. Notice that there are good and bad colesterol. This can explain you better a physician. Also there are good and bad fat and we should try to ingest always more good fat.

To stay away from cholesterol avoid the use of oily foods. This will help you a lot and make sure that you don't eat bakery items a lot. They are the some of the main sources of cholesterol.

Genetics and diet are the big factors. Do you eat a lot of diary? This raises it. But if your genetics are prone to it, there is not much you can do but eat foods low in cholestorl, and take some medication if needed. I don't eat any diary as I am lactose intolerant, I eat fat free things, yet my cholestrol is still in the 200's because of genetics. Both my parents have high cholestorl.

I have lost almost 7 stone in the past year and a half, and one of the things that I have learned is that just because you're thin doesn't mean you're healthy. Also, just because you have no visible fat, this doesn't mean that you don't have fat around your organs which would be having an extreme negative effect on your overall health. You should try to eat the right foods even if it doesn't show up on your waistline at the time. It is very true that you are what you eat, so if you want to be healthy you need to eat healthy.

Most other people have already said it, but I'll say it again for good measure. Skinny people can (and many do) have high cholesterol because of what they eat and their lifestyle. Genetics can also play a big role in Cholesterol, as some people have a family history of high cholesterol or heart disease. While a bad diet and an inactive lifestyle can lead to both increased Cholesterol and weight gain, the two conditions do not walk hand-in-hand. So even if eating bad food doesn't hurt your waistline, it can still hurt your body on the inside.
