Why we are so obbessed by BRANDS?

I believe it's because having something nice and high-quality makes a persons self esteem rise very fast.This was the initial reason why people enjoy brands is that it shows that you are better than the others although that is,at least if you ask me,wrong. All people are equal and wearing clothes and having stuff from expansive brands doesn't change that fact at all. These days I feel as if people brand everything without a reason,though.We brand even ourselves and other people.We put tags on different members of our society like geeks,alphas,divas,loosers and many others. I just don't see how this is a good thing in any way. Each person is unique but has the same rights and responsibilities as everyone else and tags and brands don't change that.

I think that buying branded goods makes us feel as though we're a lot better than other people who can't afford them. It is almost like a status symbol, but the fact is that in this economy we just cannot afford to be doing this anymore. I have just started buying things that are the supermarket's own brand more than anything else. Since I have started doing that, I have saved an awful lot of money than in the past, and this means that I have been able to save up money for my future whereas I wouldn't have been able to do this in the past.

teens are obsessed with what brands they wear or use .because everybody wanna be good look and be admired by their loved one .wearing brand clothes gives us a feeling of pride and dignity which makes teens quite happy..

...because sometimes brand equals good quality...

People are obsessed with materials because that is what society tells us to be. For example, in t.v, When people are having a good time, spending lots of money, and looking like celebrities...there is always a happy feeling to a commercial. When generic brands are being shown on tv...it is for low end stores and there is not usually a yay feeling. But more of a 'down on your luck' feel. Until society views change on riches being better than poor, this will not change any time soon.
