well it is almost impossible to "prevent boredom" but there are many things you can do when you get bored it just all depends on the type of things you like to do. me i like to read books, i like to play online games, i like to go camping and fishing, i like to draw (not very good at it but it is something i do when i get bored i call it doodling lol), ect. there are a lot of things you can do when you are bored i even text ols friends i rarely get to talk to to see how they are doing and to check in with them :)
what kind of things do you like to do?
is there anything that you like to do when you get bored?

the beach is AWESOME!! but it has been a very long time since i have been there. i hope to go again really soon but not sure ill have the money just yet lol.
usually late at night when i get really bored and i am done online but i am still awake i will turn the radio on if im in the living room but if i am in my room i will turn the music on on the tv and pick a book to start reading or finish a book that i have already started. i am not sure if it really replaces the boredom lol but atleast it is something to do :)

Ajithlal, I suggest that you get involved in things that you enjoy. Discover new horizons in your life and share your skills and attributes with others- especially the less fortunate. Do something new and different, investigate a new hobby and do it. Remember to share your talent with others, and make time to participate in something worthwhile- whether at home, in your community, or in the wider society.
If you try some of my suggsetions, perhaps you may not have time to get bored.

And most of the time if I have spare time I put it on my rest. I love gardening and I have a dog, most of the time If I'm finish on my online I get out and play with my dogs.

Hi ajithlal: There are some points in our day where we just feel bored. I think the solution for that is to find something to do, some activity. If you don't have anything to do you can read a book, play a game or do something that is important. There are many things we can work on and that's the way we fight boredom at the same time.

That is a hard one to answer for me since I am never bored.
I am always runnning out of time, always something is going on or happening to me (no matter if it's good or bad).
I don't know why you feel bored. Is this a feeling?
I can only advice you to find something of your interest.
Besides of my kids and housekeeping, my health issues and financial situation (it all keeps me busy) I am also studying a foreign language in between. I try to watch movies in that language, read texts etc and improve it (it goes slow but still).
I teach my kids at home, I cook (foreign recipes also), try out new things, have my animals to take care of. It's hard for me to get aware of the fact there are people who have no interests at all. I know they are there and I can't understand why.
So I would advice you to have a closer look at yourself. What are your interests, what are your goals in life. Set them, make a plan and stick to it so you can be succesful and proud of yourself.

hi ajithlal well if you were doing what mylot suggests when you made all these lovely discussions you would not have time to be bored. I see in this discussion you have only commented to a couple yet you went on and on making discussions. do you know you do not get paid for the responses you get ? the logo you type you earn I type I earn is very much true. so get going and type comments to all you got responses and you will not have time to be bored. Why on earth make so many as it will take ages to get caught up on all of them which is what mylot admins advises.are you going to b bypass my response too? if so I will stop responding to your discussions

No dear Hatley, I am just slow in responding to the discussions, but I do comment all my discussions as far as I can. When I am in good mood to start discussions I start discussions and when I comment I start commenting. I did comment on discussions that were even four years back. I do take sometimes, but I do try to comment on all the replies.

There are times in all of our lives that we do face some degree of boredom and the majority of that comes from the fact that we tend to fall into routines that we are not able to get out of.
So, the answer for me to keep from being constantly bored with my life is that I have to make sure that I have something to do that is out of the norm from time to time. This is done by being spontaneous from time to time. The most recent example that I have of that is that we took six kids with four adults to a karaoke restaurant/bar and bowling alley over the weekend for us to all have a good time.

I have never in my life once suffered boredom. I am 65 but just too anxious for life, and too busy to notice. I have books to read, articles and stories to write, friends to visit, movies to watch, and going out for coffee and cake with friends. When I do go out I feel a bit guilty that I took the day off to have fun, but one must have balance- God - prayer - work - family. I don't believe I will ever be bored. I'm too curious for life. Snap out of it; go visit a friend and go out, or go to a movie. Don't hang around your house doing nothing. You will feel better and you will be more productive.
