It is noticeable that it is getting hotter and hotter these days, especially in some tropical country like The Philippines. In the span of three weeks there are three people I know who died because of heat stroke.
It is very alarming. So, I want to ask for your advice on how to avoid heat stroke. Thank you.

I think you should never stay under direct sunlight for more than 10 minutes, and also drink lots of water. Even if one is inside the house, we aren't safe from it, so we must find ways to make ourselves cooler by fanning..

Hello stanley777, thank you so much for your advice. Your input is really helpful. With warm weather this days, drinking lots of water and fanning really helps a lot. Thank you and have a great day!

Stay in cool places, if you are getting too hot, take a cold bath, jump in a pool, or throw water over the back of your neck and face and put the fan on. Also staying very hydrated is the key. My brother had heat stroke once...it is very scary. The strangest thing is that you actually stop sweating and turn a white /blue color...not really red so watch out for that.

Your input on this matter is much appreciated rewardsinlife. I am sorry to hear that your brother had experienced heat stroke before and I hope he is in good condition now. The heat nowadays is really bothering considering it is already December, a time when cool weather should have taken place already but there are bouts of really warm and humid days still. Thanks again for your advice and may you have a great day.

First is, when you are out, always bring with you an umbrella with you. Also, always keep yourself hydrated. When the situation would require you to stay longer under the sun for minutes, hours or so, always remember that an umbrella would be a lot helpful. It's also important to stay indoors when the sun and the heat is on a higher level. You can stay outdoors already when the sun is down before sunset. Or even 3-4pm on wards. I guess that's the safest time during the day to stay outdoors to walk your dog. ^^

Hello there ladyhemingway. In order to prevent heat stroke, my advice to you is that you should always rehydrate yourself. Drink plenty of water at a minimum of eight to ten glasses of water a day to keep your bodily fluids in normal levels. Always carry a bottle of water with you so you can always have that sip when you feel thirsty. Also, avoid staying in places with hot temperatures. Taking a bath once or twice a day will also remove some of the heat your body has accumulated. Furthermore, you could also try eating cold foods like ice creams. Do not forget to take a break when you are already feeling exhausted or burned out. I hope that these tips will help you in some way. Cheers.

Hello LaurenPogisky, this is a very comprehensive advice and I thank you for this. This heat we are experiencing right now is really alarming. Most people including myself sometimes forget to carry bottled water with them which is really important in hydrating oneself. I'll keep these things in mind.
