i guess i have learned that truth early on. but some people still live like money is the most important thing or gives too much importance to money that they should have. i have watched an interview on one local actor. how he became actor , how he started as a waiter and worked hard as a working student till became a successful actor. back then he said he thought life was about making money. now he has lots of business also besides acting realized that money is not that much important as he thought it is. that happiness in life does not depend solely on how much money we make. i guess that is why i am not giving too much importance on money because of that belief although i still agree money is important for us to live.

It's not hard to say that life is not about money when somebody has already enough to live well. But for those who struggle just to have enough for their basic needs, it can be a big problem. It's also true that some people live for the money, and try to eearn and buy more and more, but it's a question if it makes them happier. I don't hnk so.

Everything in moderation is the key. Money is important my friend but to the extent we have our food, clothing, shelter, and medicine - throughout our life and for our families as well. You could add a bit more periodic travel and enjoyment. Other than that..we'd end up spending on lavish parties listening to boring conversations of people we dont really want around us but we have because they have some money tag going along with them and many many many other things which waste our precious moments of our lives..did you get that ..our lives. So we just need enough for our needs. Nothing more, nothing less.

I have to agree with you. Life shouldn't be just about money. There's more to life than money. Sure, we do need money, in order to provide for our basic needs, such as food, shelter, and such, but money can't give you everything.

I agree with the view that life is not all about money. One can have all the money in the whole world and still remain stupid. This kind of person may even be greedy arrogant and inconsiderate. There are some kind of person who are not rich but they live responsible life and they are even willing to assist their fellow human being even though they have less money for themselves. We all should learn to live responsible lives so that our legacy can be passed on from generation to generation. Thank you all, all friends and associate of mylot.

dear, That is a very nice story!Money is not life and i agree with you. There is a saying "happiness in not money"I do not complety agree with that because sometimes money buys really nice things that makes us happy but that kind of happiness does not compare to the happiness lets say that a new baby brings.Money can change your life but it can not change your feelings.Money is importent, but not as importent as other things.

That must have been an interesting interview with the local actor speaking. I think that the best things to have in life are good luck, good health and happiness. I get lots of happiness from planning trips overseas and going on them. Even a day out can make me feel joyful. I love dancing at my weekly class to world dance music with Latin American influences. It uplifts my spirits and I feel relaxed in the warm bubbly spa water in the jacuzzi. Back in October last year I bought a years membership at my local sport's center. I know that having way too little money can make a person very miserable. Like if he or she doesn't have enough money to buy food or he or she is close to losing the home he or she is living in. Student years with a limited budget can be delightfully enjoyable. People in the developing countries seem to be happy. Yet the rich people are hard to please and don't seem to be as happy.

I agree with you that life isn't just about the money, however it does make things a lot easier if you have a certain amount of money available to you. I am in quite a good financial situation at the moment because I am living with my parents and it has meant that I am able to save up for an apartment while I am living with them, which is something that I have wanted to do for a long time but never quite been able to get around to buying one. Hopefully I am going to be able to get that done by the end of the year and then move into my own place and make the most of my life.

Well, money...the addiction/obsession to is called greed and one of the 7 gravesins. (sorry for the religion-like description) Money can get you all the necessities in life...and as our generation progresses.. people seldom look at life as something to enjoy but they look at it in a way that it's a huge race - you gotta work to survive - the world we live in today is a competitive world. Our lives now are fast and the urge to earn money consumes our ability to savor life's greatness like nature... since all the people nowadays are practical they really go for the money rather than become content.

You are right, I quite agree with your point of view. Life is not the only money, money important than many things. Healthy body, quiet life, friendship, etc, it can bring us happiness. Happy every day!

Money is important. It's what keeps you alive, but once you have enough you will find out that you don't need all that money and will start giving some away to charity. But for broke people like us, we will think money is the most important thing until we have enough to live properly.
