uploading pictures

I found out how to up load pictures but I don't know how to make it my picture rather then the default picture that is on there. Help me please

I actually had some trouble finding this too...it's not very intuitive. You actually have to go to Preferences, at the top of the page, then Customize Your Profile. It's a small box.
