Never thought about doing this with a digital camera.

There was a woman taking pictures of orbs at our alt. healing circle today. It was interesting, white circles of light were coming out randomly on the pictures. I asked how she did it. She indicated that she asked the orbs to show themselves and allow their pictures be taken.
I remember as a teen, I was riding a horse and a ring of fire came out on the picture my Mom took of me. That way was before digital cameras.
So have you ever had anything unusual show up in a picture?

Really, and did you believe what she said?
So, what were those orbs supposed to be?

I don't know if what she said is true or not, but there were little balls of light all over the pictures. The last time I knew, orbs were little balls of light.
Just like the picture my Mom took that was a ring of fire around the horse I was riding. Who knows what that was supposed to be.
Maybe both cameras were malfunctioning. The funny thing is that some pictures had no orbs in them and some did. The only picture that had the ring of fire was one picture.
The old cameras, they said had light bleed into them because they were malfunctioning and that looked like fire and should be fixed. But that was usually along the edges and continued until fixed. The ring of fire around the horse didn't fit that description. It wasn't around the edges of the picture, never happened before or again. 20 pictures sent in and only one came back looking like that. I suppose the sun could have reflected in such a way and had an angle to create it just once and not again.
I suppose the orbs of light could be just reflections off surfaces. I didn't have my digital there to see if I could reproduce the same results.
So what they were could be anything. Just never thought of taking pictures to see circles of light around us. Reflections or anything else. I've taken lots of pictures of clouds that look like different shapes and those are fun.
I've also seen heat photography and thought that Kirlean or other types of photography would be intersting.
So have you had anything unexpected show up in pictures? Like reflections or something from camera malfunctions?

No, nothing really unusual. And, I don't really fancy about those things. I get scared easily, and won't be able to sleep well if I entertain those thoughts. I enjoy hearing stories of such, but I wouldn't want to experience them myself.

After your questions, I just researched orbs in pictures of digital cameras. Most often reflections of light because of dust, rain, etc. Since we were indoors, probably dust. The dust reflects the light from the camera flash. Which is strange because I have tons of dust at my house. It said it happens most often with high resolution cameras. So the resolution of our camera might not be high enough to create the same effect.
How disappointing. I was hoping for more than that.
One site said in order for an orb to possibly be a ghost or a spirit, all other possible tiny reflective surfaces such as dust and rain would have to be eliminated. Which is really, really difficult to do.
Thanks for the questions, researching this was interesting. Take care.

Oh it's amazing! It's quite hard to explain what it wanted to bring or to emphasize. There was an experience of mine too when a walking leg was caught by a digital camera of a friend. The leg appears in front where we posed for a picture.

That's pretty wild. What did all of you think of that?

Interesting, writersedge! I could only wish something "cool" like that would show up in my pics (beit orbs, ghosts, something out of the ordinary), but it's never that way. I've always believed that things of the supernatural/spiritual world were not interested in me - I am only of help or use to those in this world. And ring of fire - woh - and does that have a "meaning"? I know there are tricks in photography - whether intended or not - with highlights or dust as you have mentioned - so I am one of those who scrutinize such photos. Ah, but the unexplainable ones interest me so!!

So you read the ones above. Be careful what you wish for. Loving and benevolent spirits are cool, not so nice ones are not. I have lots of interesting experiences, even the earthbound ones. Thanks and take care.

I guess my camera isn't very high resolution and I try not to take pictures when a stream of light is lighting up dust. I usually see that coming from a window. We have wood fired stoves and air oil furnaces here so lots of dust.

Well, no not really. I haven't tried anything unusual with my digital camera. That's really weird, asking the orbs to show themselves. Is that something paranormal? Because it sounds like paranormal to me.

Supposedly it can be and there are also normal explanations, too. Please read my response to the first writer above.
