There are movies that you can watch once, movies that you can watch more than once, and movies that you can watch over and over again, not for the plot but for the pleasure of seeing certain performances again and marveling at the actor's craft. I myself am a filmmaker. Started with filming documentaries, and then writing the bestseller Confessions of a Gambler, scriptwriting it, directing the movie and starring in it as well. There is no question that I'm a film addict.
Best movies watched more than five or ten times
Gone with the Wind with Rhett Butler and Scarlett O'Hara played Vivien Leigh - first of its kind - sweeping saga - great plot
The Godfather - for its absolute audacity and star-studded performances - you are mesmerized by the characters, the plot, the music, the violence, the shock
There are hundreds of great films that have been made. My top choice of all movies is Lawrence of Arabia who made his stunning debut and the Arabian steppes wasn't the same again

Right now, I can only think of Titanic and Pearl Harbor.
These are my favorite movies and I can watch them even
after ten times.

Everyone has his own taste about which kind of movies he likes. Titanic and Pearl Harbor are great films, but not ones I would watch more than twice. They are huge entertainers and at the end you are sated and as exhausted as the actors. The problem with these blockbusters is that you don't have to think. The films become popular for its production value such as a huge ship, or great period costumes, or 3D and avatars,or a stuttering king, and there is nothing to savor. On the other hand, when you have the good fortune to watch for the first time something like The Godfather, where Marlon Brando stuffed cotton wool into his cheeks to give him that puffed up look and won the part of Don Corleone, it is a whole different matter and no one can forget that experience and wants more of it. I have watched all three parts of The Godfather more than ten times. I have watched Midnight Cowboy several times also. I far prefer a film like Midnight Cowboy to Titanic.

Certainly there are certain films that you would love to see more than one time. In particular, there are some films which require you to watch them again, because their plot is so complicated and hides so many secrets, that a single watch doesn't reveal everything to you. I love this kind of films.Probably the best example of such a film is "Donnie Darko". Another one that i've watched 3 times already is "Triangle". And of course my little addiction are the Hellraiser films, as you can see from my avatar.:P Too bad some of the latest films on the series are not as good. The ones I love and have watched over 10 times for sure are Hellraiser I,II,V and VI.

Of course there are movies people would always watch more than once. Not only is the plot an intriguing one, the characters, the background scenes, the dialogue, the quality of the filming are all factors that continue to bring viewers back to opening that DVD case once more and watching the film all over again. There are many good examples out there that can testify to the power of movies.
James Cameron's Titanic returned to cinema screens, this time in his famed 3D technology. The movie despite being more than a decade old still continue to attract people to watch it. The 3D factor was a plus point too.
One of the more recent movies that I believe will continually return to the agendas of movies-to-watch lists are Hugo, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. Inception and Hunger Games are modern, new-age examples.
