A man who ordered a sandwich the other day at a fast food resturant became enraged when he thought it took long for his meal to come. He entered the resturant , threatened an employee, shoved him up against a counter and slapped him, All because of a delayed meal. The angry man then grabbed his sandwich and walked out of the resturant. Do you think his actions are called for or rather justified?

A very rude action.
If i was the one about to be slapped i ll make sure i give him what he deserves, whether he was delayed or not. On no condition should any man get angry for little or no reason and hurt another

This mans actions are not justified by any means. Even if he waited for a very long time this doesn't give him any rights to become violent and physically harm another person with equal rights who might have not even known about the problem or been involved with it.There is a polite way to handle all kinds of problems and violence not only doesn't solve anything,it also causes all kind of problems and breeds only more violence.

Shadowsky:
welcome to mylot. I also agree with you. But the person concerned will have his own reason why he got angry.
Anger is right for the person but not right for others.

Are you serious? Anger is in no way right for anybody my friend.
Anger compounds situations and makes it become worst.
Shadowsky I completely agree with you, but ravisivan, you I don't agree with.
Just imagine if the person he attacked was a chef and had a knife with him during the attack and used it on the mans throat and killed him, he escape the law on self defence and that man's anger would have taken him to his early grave.

I don't think his action is justified. The restaurant could have a policy and all service oriented establishments that the customer is always right, but it don't give them the right to harm the employee or any other individuals connected with it if their services is delayed. Maybe they have reasons, the customer could had asked why it took his/her order longer time. Or he/she could had asked the supervisor what's the cause of the delay.

Yes. People lack patience,
And those people are on self-destruct I tell you, he would take that his anger somewhere where they would receive it negatively and giving a whopping of a lifetime there.

This man's actions are definitely not justifiable and I think the employee he shoved should make a complaint and the man should be identified and receive a big fine that discourage him to repeat his crazy behavior.I suppose he had already been enraged when he entered the restaurant, all he needed was a spark to ignite his anger, but he has no excuses whatsoever.Almost everyone has problems and I guess we all have moments when we feel upset, but we manage to behave ourselves in society and we don't release our anger on innocent people,so that man should definitely pay for what he did and he should also see a psychiatrist.

Yes, I totally agree with you,

hi, i think those action just got out of hand. Why cant you just understand that there were many costumers that need service before him. If his not patient enough to wait then he better find a place where he can be served according to what he want and how he want it.
He can be sued for his action and may be put to jail with due evidences those sort of things.

Yes he can be sued, but remember hes a random guy and they may not know where to serve him the court paper.
Anger is not a good thing and it always brings about destruction to lives and properties.

I believe that it was ludicrous for this man to act this way. Societies all over the world are becoming more violent and less tolerant. I feel that there is NO reason in this world for anyone to use an act of violence for their lack of patience. Violence should not be tolerated under any circumstances and in this case, attacking someone due to a delay in his order is definitely uncalled for.

Definately uncalled for, and that's the way its gonna be.
Voilence has never been and would never be the answer.
It only compounds more problems for individuals.

He can complain all he wants, but it's not right for him to hurt anybody. He could even get a free meal for that. He shouldn't have gotten so violent about it. The employee could actually sue him for what he did.

Yes they could,
Nut its possible he's a random guy who they may never see again, so how would they serve him with the letter.
Anyways thanks for your response.

I understand his annoyance, but there are so many other thing he could have done because of this. It's not a good thing, of course, if a restaurant makes stuff way too late (and maybe not even apologize), but then the best thing would be to call customer protection or file a complaint. That would actually result in better results than him acting like a lunatic.

A very bad lunatic,
I mean what's the worst that could happen, where am from If you aint satisfied with the service, you could walk away without paying, I mean walking away would have been best in this situation.
