Everyone has stress in their lives some more then others. What do you do to get rid of your stress. I either listen to music or work in my art journal.

I usually write, listen to music, talk to friends, rant to my cat, meditate, read, and if I'm really stressed I will go for a massage that always helps a bit.

Best way to reduce stress is to go back to nature. Nature has the ability to relieve stress as the body and mind is connected to nature. Some philosophies do apply this one. That is why your body feels sleepy at night or feels like relaxing during the sunset. Also, that is why people tend to flock in beaches during the vacations and breaks. The breeze and the waves of the bodies of water is a stress reducer. Try hiking or trekking in the mountains or going for a vacation at the beach or any nature spot. More easily, try just relaxing in a nice view or maybe stargazing.

The best way to get rid of stress is to have fun and not think of the people, things, or situations that make you feel this way. I have read this book entitled Taming Your Stress. I just forgot who the author is. We have to first know what causes the stress. Then slowly eliminate it by not thinking of it. Going out with some close friends and relatives would also help. What I do, I let myself be surrounded by people who bring out the best in me, people who are optimistic and I always make sure that when I'm with them, stress shouldn't be in my head.

If I am really stressed I will do a music or art project as well. Painting is particularly therapeutic for me, though I am not that good, crochet, and playing the piano. Also, I find taking a long hot shower is just what I need to unwind.

For me the best stress reliever is sleeping.I can reduce my stress by listening to music, doodling on the walls of my room(it's getting re-painted in 2 weeks so it's OK) or I can play with my cats which always distracts me.Lately I like to go here to just read the discussions I've replied to because I can't respond adequately when I'm stressed or mad because everything nice in me goes into hiding. But if I really want to get rid of the stress I have to give it some time and usually after I sleep I feel better and most of the times the stress has disappeared.
