I never write as much as I write more often today. I think it grows with me now, and I like the idea that someday or somehow I can write my own book that will be remembered by everyone. I'm happy writing just about anything, though there is still one doubt and that is my vocabulary thing; it stopped me to express my thoughts because of the vagueness of words in my brain. Anyway, are you happy when you write something you like? What do you usually do to enhance your skill?

When I was a child,I like writing stories. I like to write anything I like. Like you, I also find difficulty writing the word I want especially when its in English.I really need to improve more of my vocabulary. I want to be a writer but I think I need a lot of things to improve more such as the style, correct grammar usage, etc. Do you know any tips on how to be a good writer?

Sorry, I couldn't resist to reply. Maybe because I can relate with you too. Just read the stories you enjoy the most my friend and write your plot. With reading, you can get hints on how to write effectively. With writing, you can practice and even have your own style. I have issues with grammars too. But, hopefully through listening to critics. I think I did improve. Good luck to you and I hope I can have the chance to read your stories someday.

I love writing too but no as much as my hobby in reading. Sometimes I find it difficult to write especially if I am not in the mood with it. I know the benefits of writing and to be honest, I like to be a writer. I had done blogs before but was not able to continue updating it because of busy schedule. Now, I no longer remember my passwords on the different blogs I made.
This year, I told to myself that I will have my diary. There I will write everything that happened within the day. There are times that I am lazy doing it but I just force myself. I know that I must have discipline to be a good writer and I won't stop achieving my goal on it.

I like your idea of writing a daily journal of activities in your life, I think I'm gonna start making my own too.;)

I always wanted to be a writer, ever since I was a teenager. But when I was young, my thoughts poured out at such a rate, I was never able to finish anything. There were so many digressions. But there were things I did succeed in finishing, including a short story, and a novel of sorts, but much of my early work ended up being destroyed after I became a Christian. I tried to write in a Christian spirit; but much of that ended up being destroyed too. Finally in 2006, I felt comfortable preserving my writings. I started posting my writings at a weblog; and then early this year after an incredible amount of work and editing, my complete writings were published into book form. It was through posting my writings at various blogs; and writing sites, that I developed as a writer, including being criticised, or assessed. It was tough sometimes; but I had my admirers as well as critics. After my "definitive" book was published, I decided to take a break from writing for a while; although I still do write, such as here at My Lot: I love contributing here; it's creative to me. But I'm not troubling to write any more major works for the time being.

Well we are both the same, sometimes words makes me stop from expressing my though but what I usually do if I don't know the proper term to use, I'll just have explain the meaning of the word I want to say. I don't care if it took me too long explain as long as I can express my idea or thought.
I've always wanted to write since before but my English way back 8 to 9 years ago was so dull and my grammar was a mess so I keep practicing plus with the help of mylot, I am able to improve my self although I still have a little bit problem when it comes to verbal conversation but nevertheless I am contented with what I am capable now.

good evening dear mylloter friend Brijcrumbz , first thing id care to say is that people that usually succeed in life and become great at what they do is because they "LIKE" what they do , and that is the real motivator and learning helper of all , and as i saw you wrote , writting makes you happy , and up untill now i saw that you have quite a nice and developped vocabullary , and plus every writter before starting to write he's book , he always make research about what he'd like to write , plus imagination is a fountain of inspiration for all writters .But i , unlike you it is not writting that makes me happy , and what makes me happy i dont really have the necessary financial situation to be able to do what i'd like to do ( wich for personal reasons i care to keep condifdential :-) )
I'm sorry for not been able to give you any advice on how you could improove your writting skills , but i just felt compelled to anwser this discussions ( yours ).
I wish you a verry great evening dear Brijcrumbz.

Yes, brijcrumbz, I love writing too. In fact I'm ADDICTED to it. Since I retired a few years ago, I started writing creatively just for fun. Since 2010 when i started, I've had some of work published online and in hard copy. There's nothing quite like seing you work in print with your name emblazoned as the author. I'm writing a novel too - and I'm hoping that it sells a few copies when I finally get it out there. Writing? Mmmmm...Gotta do it! I can't help myself!!

I had a habit of reading in my younger day's, though all my focus was on cartoon and comic books at those times of mine. Later on i developed this reading comic books into other interesting books as well and my favorite pass time since then was reading any interesting books that i find. I was spending so many hours in reading books and sometimes even at the cost of my lunch as my interest on reading books was that high and in fact it has not come down even now. But the only extra thing i added on later was writing as i have also developed new passion of writing on subjects of my interest and this is due to the knowledge i got through reading books since my childhood. Now i have written so many articles of my interest in so many websites and writing has become a huge passion for me now. I enjoy writing on topics of my interest and i love to develop this writing skills in coming years as each passing day is going to teach me very new things in life

Well, I personally have always preferred to write the texts, rather than read. Now given the technology that leads us to do this with electronic keyboards, I dropped a pen and paper, and I'm happy. Speaking of what I compose, I would say that this is primarily a blog network. In fact as Mylot sites where there is a mutual exchange of opinions.

I love, love writing. In the old days it keeps me busy. It keeps boredom away. I write with no such care in those days. Until, I decided to start writing for people. I had to improve myself. You know, writing for an audience is harder that writing for yourself. But, it has most of the success. Anyway, I read and read and write and write more to improve.

Writing is a matter of expression for me. I love to write because in that way, I am able to express how I feel in words and also note down what I have done for the day. Are you planning to write your own novel or crime thriller and get it published one day?
