When I wanted to open a net banking account, i got a serious resistance from my parents. They say it is not safe as many fraudulent activities are taking place and it's not secure to make transactions through such account! When I was thinking about the alternatives, this I got this idea - Many laptops these days have the Fingerprint recognition software. If we integrate such software with the net banking system in such a way that apart from the usual log in information, we are asked to provide our finger print during transactions, the security can be improved. Though this is not much flexible as you need your laptop every-time you make transactions, which is not always feasible. But when you need to have a very secure account, especially when you are a businessman, then this is a feasible idea for you. Most of the time you'll be travelling around with your laptop, and hence you can make your transactions i na secured way. What do you think about this idea?

Yes, that would be ideal, i have seen in a lot of movies about those parts of the body that is checked by the computer for security, they could be finger prints, or even the entire hand, eyes, etc.. That would definitely be more secure especially for those who have so much money in the bank.

This looks like a brilliant idea and also secure , but as you said its not mobile and the very facility of anywhere banking is not applicable, moreover if laptop has a issue or stolen then it may cause inconvenience.Looks good but less reliable , security should come with reliablity.

Yeah... That is the problem... Without laptop this system becomes less useful. If there is some app developed for smart phones through which finger print can be detected, then this can be successful, I hope!!

To much trouble. Easiest and best way.... open a checking or savings account. Then attached you online banking account to that account. And put in that account whatever money you want to spend online or to transfer to paypal. Keeping this account seperate from your main account with you paycheck and household budget money and all...is the best way. That way,.... if something does happen and you get online fraud or something like that...all they can take is the little bit you have in there. Not only do they not get much, but they don't get it all and leave you in the cold with no money and checks bouncing. I have been doing this for years now..works great. Go to a small independant bank and odds are you can get a checking account or savings account for free - no monthly service charge.

That's in fact a brilliant idea! But for me that seems to be inconvenient as I have to keep track of money in the Savings account and fill it often with whatever amount is necessary every now and then. I feel very lazy to do that! But if there is a secure and reliable system, I don't have that issue... I can sit back and relax...
