Deccan Chargers are more or less out of the reckoning for the playoff spots. But they can play the spoilsports for the others who are in the reckoning. Pune Warriors just found that out, losing a second time to Deccan Chargers which puts their chances of making it to the playoffs in risk. DC were led by attacking 82 by Sangakkara and 74 by Craig White and set an imposing 187 for Pune Warriors to win. PWI could only manage 173 in their 20 overs despite many batsmen getting starts.
Do you think PWI will make the playoffs?
Cheers!

Pune Warriors succumbed to the tournament. They lose the match for the second time to deccan who is still no stock to build for wiining the ipl. Well this will upset the hope of pune to get in the semis and win the ipl. I think they have no cahnces now.
explosive stand of 157 between the two experienced hands - Cameron White and Kumar Sangakkara was key factor for the defeat of pune and deccan's win.Sangakkara 82, White 74 they both took the match away from the Pune as bowlers were going for boundaries and nothing else.
What will happen to pune they will not going to changes the winning percent which is lowest for them.
Why Ganguly can't score faster? Even the clarke presence his debut didn't make the count for pune. They are out!

Hi Ram,
Deccan Chargers are out of the chances on playing in the playoffs.Of course, they can spoil other team's chances too. They could have won their first 3 games but due to their bad fielding and bowling they lost some close games.Pune kept the match in control until 19th and 20th over. They gave 50 runs in the last 2 overs. It helped them to post a huge total of 187.Sangakkara played a captain's knock. But the fielding has not been good for Deccan so far in the tournament. They don't have quality local players in their team.It is going to be difficult for the Pune Warriors to enter the playoffs. They need to win at least 4 of the 6 games to get a chance in the playoffs depending on the other teams.

Pune is a very good team under Saurav Ganguly a she has changed the full Pune team into a confident fighters now.Though they have lost two matches against the weakest of IPL teams-Deccan, they are still capable of making it to last 4 as there are still matches to come and only Delhi looks to have almost made it to the final 4 stages though still it is not confirmed yet as another 6-10 matches will get the final probable 4 teams of this IPL.There are many teams fighting equally now as Pune, Chennai,Mumbai etc seems to be in same boat winning same number of matches till now and this makes this tournament still more interesting now

Pune stated the IPL season in a good note but they are ending it on bad.
Deccan defeat Pune in an another encounter, this second in the season to post thier second win. So far Pune is only team that able to lost to Deccan. After a early wickets, a massive stand of 157 runs between two experienced palyer - Cameron White and Kumar Sangakkara. Sangakkara didn’t look convincing at the start but soon he gather momentum with his co partner White, who hit Ganguly for three consecutive sixes. It was great partnership between duo which toll a upheld task of 187 to chase for Pune.
In return Pune also started bad with first ball wickets of Pandey. Ganguly and Clarke continues from there and hit the Deccan’s best bowlers Styen 17 runs in his 2nd over. They were carring the things well unti Clark get run out. Then it was allover as none of the batmen cope with the run rate and finally they loss with 13 runs.
To pune no chances now in top 4 so they sleep and so should they.....

I think White simply loves the Pune attack. This is the second time he has scored some runs and the first time also he scored against Pune. I think Pune needs to get it's team right. I do not think Pandey and Nehra in their current form should be in the team.
Cheers!
