I always have the samliar dream. In that dream, I could fly and control the speed and height in accordance to my intention and willingness. Actually, sometimes I could realise that I was in the dream and could control my dream totally or partly. If I was in a danger in my dream, Sometimes I could tell myself that " you can fly and get rid of the danger", then I did. That seems an amazing game. It looks like that the capacity of flying has root in my sunconscious. Have you saw the movie "Inception"? Do you have the samliar experience?

I think I'm generally in good health. But people who knows me always say that I do need to exercise more for my own good. Perhaps I need to start listening to their advice...
I'm not a good swimmer, so I thought I was drowning in my dreams because of that. But maybe you're also right about being under high pressure.

Dreaming drowning may indicate that you are under high pressure, or may be you cover too tight when you were sleeping. Some websites said that dreaming drowning maybe connected with little health problem. I can't imagine why.

Oh, don't worry too much! It is "possible" not "to be sure". Many kinds of websites like to say something in oder to attract people's attention. That just like marketing strategy. To be honestly, everyone should take care of themselves. It is a good habit of life.

Sounds like lucid dreaming, which can be incredible fun! I've had loads of dreams and flying dreams, but I've never experienced much control over the dreamscape. I've seen the movie Inception, and I half-loved half-hated it... I don't like open endings and that's really the only thing about the movie that bothered me. Anyway, I love dream science... if you can really call it science.
I almost always try to fly away when I have a lucid dream. Like I said, I've never experienced much control over dreams so I can't always fly away when I want to. But it's still fun when it does happen.

Well I think it is pretty sad when people never become aware that they're dreaming inside a dream, ever. It's just such a spellbinding experience. I try to have lucid dreams more often, but they are sometimes pretty hard to catch.

Yes, I either don't like open endings. Having lucid dreams may be an amazing experience. But if the dreamer couldn't tell the reality from th dream, it is too sad. The ending of the "Inception" is a little weird.

I think, if I am not mistaken, this experience is called lucid dreaming, also perhaps mentioned in the movie "Inception". I have been in some similar cases as well, wherein I could control things I want to do in my dream, but they are not many or maybe I just forget about them when I wake up. I usually don't dream of flying, and if i did, it was only on a very low altitude because of my great fear of height, which is actually ironic since I am physically taller than normal in our area.

Oh, you are so humorous. I can imagine that if you walk fast enough, then may be like flying. I always want to grow more taller, but I am not young enough to grow. When I dreamed flying, someone told me that it indicates growing. I was so happy that I wait to grow tallar. Finally, I find that was not the case.I feel disappointed.

I had dreams of flying a few times, but never had much control over how I fly, nor any consciousness that I was dreaming (they call those lucid dreams). A few of these include me spreading my arms out and running, then flying for a few seconds, then stalling and falling. Every time, I feel myself falling, and I wake up right before the impact.

Yea, I always dream I could fly free from the sky and go anywhere i want to. But sometimes in a middle of flying I got stuck in the air and fell down and it feel like i could feel the strong friction of wind on my body. When I hit the ground that's the funny thing of it, because my body starts to shake like I got electrocuted or attacked by and epilepsy or something then I woke up and trying to realize what happen then after that I always laugh then tell my friends about it.

Your experience seems very interesting. I guess that maybe your body were moving when you were flying in your dream, and then you were stuck by sheets. That may be the reason that you fell down from the sky in your dream. In my dream, generally, I couldn't fly very high and freely. But that is still an amazing experience.

Dear Tracy! I used to dream in the very similar way you are dreaming! I practically flew and float in the air by just using my hands as my wings. I could even cover the distances just with the movements of my hands! But these sort of dreams I used to have when I was Kid. Once I have grown up I never have seen such dreams. As you aid in the dreams I could realise that I am actually dreaming!
Now I am 50+ and I never dream such things any more! But if I carefully think, during our childhood there were no TVs or Video games to experience such feeling in awakening state! In spite of that I used to get these dreams! Surprisingly I still recall the Ariel views I had then even today! The heights were never too high, but I had the Ariel view of the places where I flew! Then I never had any experience of travelling by plane and witnessing any Ariel view!
Now having experienced such dreams and since I was interested in the subject of dreaming I have referred few sites and in one o the sites I have come across that such dreaming is a common thing and is experienced by most of the children! Now since you have posted this discussion I may again search this topic on net to see the details about this type of dreams!
I think dream interpreters may have some thing special to describe such dreams. This has to be verified from related sites! Thanks for the discussion, I enjoyed it as it was the topic very close to my heart!Have a nice time!

Oh, thank you for your response. It seems that you also like the feelings of flying in your dreams. Although I am not a child, I still have the chance to dream flying. That is an amazing thing. In my country, people think dreaming flying maybe related to growing tallar when the dreamer is a child. Since I am not a child again, in my opinion, flying indicate freedom not only of the body but also of the soul. That is, chasing freedom may be rooted in my heart and soul. When I feel under pressure, I often have the flying dream. Then I will feel better after awaking. You said that the topic was very close to your heart. I think maybe that is the case.
