do you see and check the increase of your discussion number?

hi mylotters,here is a discussion for us,we generally post new discussion or just answer to the discussion started by our friends,after posting do you see and check whether your discussion number beside your name increased or not?i just check it very often and frequently.

Hi gnansekhar, yes I do check the numbers to see if there are
responses, otherwise I would not know whwn I have to make my
responses to my post...I try to respond to my post especially
when you ask a question, how would you kmow if you received any
answers/suggestions or responses....

hi bjc I am not following this at all as the only discussion numb er I am aware of is the one after my name and that just shows my own activity.I d o check my notifications to see how many responses I got to any of my own discussions but thats not the number after my user name that this poster is referring to.that number is just an activity number and shows how many posts I have done not how many responses I got to my own discussions. I am totally confused or the poster is . the only way to check on how many responses I get is either the notifications in my email or look at the discussions I have made tab.

Yes. I use to check up the number after posting discussions. This is not for verifying but to see the number increasing steadily. Also this will tell us when some posting is deleted the number also goes down.

hi ravi,yes by checking the number we may find out whether our number of discussions are increasing or decreased due to the deletion of the discussion started or answer.

hi gnansekhar no why should I, its just an activity number it does not even record all the posts you do, the number, the only number, I am concerned with is that one in earnings. as for the responses to my discussions those do not show in my discussion number at all. anyone here who makes any discussion must take a few seconds to check on the discussions you have made to comment back on new responses. our so called discussion number will not show the responses we get on a discussion, so where did you get that idea? the activity number only shows our own activity not those of people responding to our discussions. do not generate false information here and confuse pe

Yes i always check.I don't just post some topic here and forget about it.What we are supposed to be doing here is have a discussion.And if you don't check the posts and reply to them,how can they be called discussions.And also a good discussion will get you more than posting a lot randomly in many topics.

Hi Gnansekhar! I always seem to be looking at my post count, even though it seriously low at the moment because I'm fairly new to mylot. Any time I'm on a forum that has a post count I always watch mine, I like to watch it go up as I get settled into the community and get to know others. It gives me a sense of accomplishment.
