Selling Giftcards

Sorry for this long discussion on Amazon and it's giftcards for the past few days lol. But OK, this is another discussion.
I've heard that people would buy giftcards for a cheaper price than the card itself. For example, someone once sold a $5 Amazon Giftcard for $4.99. I think this is a really really awesome deal.
The problem is... can someone tell me the process of selling a giftcard? I know paypal doesn't cover this process since it's a virtual item. But how can you make sure the other side pays?
For example, you could give it to them and they put it in, then claim that it doesn't work. Then You'll have lost the $5 Giftcard cause the other side is dishonest.
Any ideas?

There is a site called granny gift cards that only sells, buys and exchanges gift cards. I believe this has some security system built into it to prevent others from not paying.

Well I have never done this myself but I know many sites should have an area for reviews and maybe a rating for the seller. I know Ebay does and whenver my dad buys something off there he only buys from sellers with a certain rating so he knows they will pay. I have only bought items off Amazon but I always read the reviews first and check out the seller.

I have done some research and found sites that do only sell and buy giftcards, but most of them are physical giftcards, and they take a large % off for the commission fee.
I would try eBay as well, but I am actually looking for a way to buy and sell without the middle man, but still retain a security so that both parties will comply and not cheat each other.
