Money Has Always Fascinated Me

The subject of money has always fascinated me. It amazes me that two people can work at the same place, doing the same job, making the same amount of money, but one of them seems to have more money than the other. One of them appears to have a bigger home, a nicer car, travels more, can spend more on leisure activities etc. Some people save their money, hoard it even, become misers, while others spend every cent they get as soon as they get it (and then some!). Some people invest their money. Some people "make an honest living" or "work hard for every cent they get", while others engage in illegal activities to make money. I find it genuinely interesting what some people are willing to do for money, or what some people are willing to spend their hard earned cash on. Any thoughts on this?

There is always a reason behind fascination. We have to accept that money is important in humans life same as love, and i think they share the same room but the question is who occupies the wider space. Its what money can offer that fascinated us, the nice car, big houses, and other promising thing but to much fascination of it is not a good idea, remember that money is not alone in life's room, you have also to consider other thing such us love, because when you focus only on one thing you might be out of balance and to late to realize that you are drowning. So be careful....

Well, I didn't say that I focused on money a lot, only that it fascinates me. Maybe a more correct way of putting it is that it fascinates me what some people will do to obtain money. Of course money is not the only thing in life, nor is it the most important (good thing too cause if it were I'd be outta luck!).

It's better if each of everyone of us will know how to spend money wisely. I've read a book that said two things about money, first "Love of money is the root of all evil" and the second is "Lack of money is the root of all evil". I think it's okay to save money, but money will always be just a piece of paper if you're not going to use it. So spend money wisely..

Everyone I know who works were I do are all struggling. None of us have it better than anyone else and we are all living paycheck to paycheck.
Except teh manager and assistant manager of course. They make much, much, MUCH more than the rest of us.
I've always thought that a bit unfair, since the ones who really do all the work for the company gets so little while the ones high up do less work and get more money.

Money is a necessity to have in terms of sustaining life, to buy food, shelter, etc. in a civilized society. It could either make us or break us in terms of how we prioritize it; too much would mean greed seeking to have more of the material things and power, and too less would mean contentment in a way but not having much goals in life.

Oh I love that you point out that it could either make us or break us in terms of how we prioritize it. I totally agree. That goes along with the question of what would you do for money? Some people would do just about anything for money if the price was right.

I say different strokes for different folks. All of us have different abilities when it comes money...some spend it as the get it, others spend wisely and some don't even have it. The truth is when we die none of it can go with us, so I say enjoy the money while you can!! lol

I find the subject of money very interesting too.
I find the inflow and outflow of money internationally more interesting than ever.
When US started to print money, the money flowed out of US into Asia and other developing countries.
Now that US wants to raise interest rate, all the money come back.

Money really is something that is a necessary evil when it all comes out to it. There are many people out there, who are willing to go to any depths possible, even if it means hurting others, in their twisted pursuit of money. But in the end, as always, there is only one element to blame above all else that is going to make money the utterly important thing and that is society.
We live in a society where people are judged by what they have, and not who they are. Who cares if the car is still running and serves its purpose, you need the latest model. Clothes a little faded and out of fashion, but still are in good shape, who cares, buy some new clothes. There are people who feel pressured to keep spending money. And there are people who feel pressured to make more, to live a lifestyle beyond their means, where they use seedy methods. It is a rather awful state of affairs.

Money is important for paying bills, to buy food and other stuff, Money can't buy Love and Happiness but most precious is our love for each other and better understanding.

money is a medium of living. Though money gives you a lot, money cant buy you happiness. Many people are rich but they seem not happy. They spend their money to make friends and make people close to them. But sometimes money is a gate pass to happiness if one uses it in a good and honest way. Stay rich in material stuffs and be happy.
