LD= Lucid dream
Having a LD is not only good to do things that you can't do in real life for example, flying, traveling, meet your favourite celebrity... you can also use them to learn lots of stuff and get answers.
There is no limit when having a LD, you can go to the past, future, to other planets, you put your own limit.
There are some methods when trying to have a lucid dream, the one I use is called "Dream Diary", where I write all the dreams I have and I read them before going to bed, that helps me remembering my dreams.
The next thing I do is, during the day, I do "reality checks". I check if I am in a dream, for example, I pinch my nose and I try to breath, as I am not in a dream, I won't be able to breath, then I repeat myself mentally I am not in a dream. The more times you do it during the day, the more chances for you to do it when dreaming, so you'll notice you are dreaming!
If you are conscious you are dreaming, don't get nervous or excited. This will make you wake up, just control it, do whatever you want to do...

I had a spontaneous quasi-lucid dream once. it wasn't like people describe it. i didn't have all control over my dream but i knew i was dreaming and i could influence my dream. the funny thing was that it didn't work instantaneously but after 2 seconds. eg. i had to escape from lava so i started to fly upward until i got worried that i couldn't stop that. so i thought "stop" and nothing happened at first (i had no contgrol over my flight) but after 2 seconds my dream started to change by this suggestion so i leant downward and started to fall. and there were similar situations that i had no control but my thoughts made the dream changed by itself
