Have you ever been accepted in more than one job at the same time?

Nowadays, it's been hard to find good jobs or any job for that matter.
I have applied in many companies, hospitals basically for nursing and writing careers. Nursing is a lot of work and in my country, it's hard to get in a hospital(imagine all the competition, since the nursing profession is popular)
It annoyed me greatly waiting for confirmation. Sometimes it even takes months. A graduate would be very fortunate to get to work in a hospital here while the other graduates have to find other means of living, look for other jobs not even related to their curse... i mean 'course' and some don't even get to work and stay home instead...
Got really bored waiting for some kind of response from those places I applied to, i looked for other jobs and sent applications and resumes via email. It's probably a bad idea LOL
The question is... on the title. What would you do then if you were in that situation? Have you ever been in that particular situation? What did you do then? How did it go?
Tip, advice... please. I would really appreciate them

if i get accepted in both jobs, i don't mind having both. But that would be unfair to other people wouldn't it? and i don't think it's possible since the other job would be nursing and nurses get to work at different shifts... making it very difficult to find time to start the other job sigh

Its really a tough spot to be in. Twice, i have been in a similar predicament. I sent numerous applications, then when i get a response, it comes in two's i.e. i receive two offers. My take is to evaluate both offers, according to pay, terms and conditions and contract duration. Also, check your preference in the long run...which company seems to provide what your looking for? I did that and eventually made the right choice.

Thank you for the advice, it can be annoying sometimes when you waited for a long time for the place you applied to would call you but when you lose hope and start another search they suddenly pop up LOL

when the times were still fine and jobs were easy, i used to rank the job opportunities from the priority or a must-accept job to lesser prestigious or well-paying job. those were the times when competition might not be that stiff. anyway, three years ago, i was accepted into a volunteer work abroad, a job in international NGO, or a fellowship abroad. i took the last opportunity because it was really what i wanted. be determined and patient. plan ahead and imagine yourself being successful. wish you the best.

I was looking for jobs for the first time around three years ago, and it took me six months to get offers from any jobs at all. However, once I got the offer from the first job it was as if the offers were never going to stop because I got several offers in the space of just a couple of weeks which meant that I could just pick whichever of the jobs I felt as though I wanted at that time. The job market is hard at the moment, but if you get more than one offer you just have to stop and think which of the jobs would be the best for you in the long term.

The only close to 2 jobs at the same time is from a while ago, when I was a factory worker, and at the same time was playing music with my band. :P Nowadays in my country it's even hard to get 1 job. :S If however, say by a miracle, I was to be accepted in 2 jobs at the same time, I would go take into consideration 3 things. First of course the salary of each job. Then, how hard and consuming each job is and last I would be interested in the opportunities they give me to advance in my career.

Helo aja..
I experienced it once, in my first time for looking for job. It means that i am a fresh graduate. It happens in one day, first; the headmaster of elementary school called me to have an interview at 7a.m, then i pass it and start the job tomorrow. Second, the newsletter company called me to have an interview at 3p.m, then lucky me, i passed it too. Perhaps both of the company really need as fast as the look for worker.
So, 7a.m-2p.m i work as school administration, then 6p.m-1a.m as a newsletter's editor. Such an awesome career huh, but i did it really hard..with the minimum of salary..
