Norton used to be good but now it is too intrusive and gets in the way. I would remove it and use AVG free. AVG will also try to get you to upgrade to a more powerful version which is very good indeed but the free version is fine for home computers.
On the other hand I have two clients who have never had any anti-virus software on their computers and have never had a virus! Mind you, they are careful where they surf and what they download but then we should all be careful anyway.

Hi Lore2009, No this is right when you buy your security you only get it for 12months then you have to buy it again. You should go to download.com and download AVG security for free its one of the best and as i said its free i use it on all the computers i had with no problems.

Usually when you buy an antivirus, it comes along with a limited time license. 1 year, 2 years etc. from the moment you activate your product. You should probably give a look to the product you bought. You can always contact norton customer service and ask them if you license has expired, just to be sure. You might even be able to renew your license for another year or so, even in a better price this time, since you bought the product already.

Every antivirus virus as specific life. As we humans beings have 60 years as average life time. Like them an antivirus have mostly one year as it's validity. when it lives it's complete life time it gets expired and you will not be able to us them. If you need to use them again you need to get new keys or keygen for it.
