I got an email from TripAdvisor with a link to their article about the Top Destinations in the world as ranked and reviewed by travelers worldwide. I've never gone to any of these places. I wish I could experience them, in the near future. There were 25 on the ranking, and below are the TOP 10. Here are the Top 10 Best Destinations: 1) London, UK 2) New York, USA 3) Rome, Italy 4) Paris, France 5) San Francisco, California USA 6) Marrakech, Morocco 7) Istanbul, Turkey 8) Barcelona, Spain 9) Siem Reap, Cambodia 10) Berlin, Germany Have you been to any of these places and how much did you like it? Was it really deserving to hit that spot?

I live in England and have been to London. I believe it is a must see destination for any traveler. I came back from Argentina and waiting for my onward flight at Madrid Airport I got chatting to an Argentinian old lady. She was traveling to London for 3 nights, Paris for 3 nights and Barcelona for 3 nights. Well she chose a very good trip seeing as all these places are in the top destinations in the world list. I have visited Paris and it is amazing with the Eiffel Tower and the River Seine. I think it is pricey like London and I prefer Budapest, Prague and Dubrovnik. I visited Istanbul and think it is fantastic with sights like the Blue Mosque. I have been to San Francisco and for years it stayed a favorite until Cape Town and Vancouver overtook it in my favorites list. Now I have Cartagena and Rio before it too. I am keen to visit Marrakesh in Morocco and Siem Reap in Cambodia.

Wow, you've definitely got good choice. Most of the places you've been too got their spots on the ranking. What do you look for in a place - food, parks, arts, views, etc?

I go to places listed on my travel wish list. I go for interesting and attractive looking architecture, beautiful parks, wildlife, amazing views and fascinating sightseeing opportunities. I went to Cape Town in 2009 and it has the mountain plus the beaches around it. In Vancouver in 2010 I loved seeing Stanley Park. In 2011 I finally managed to get over to South America to see the colonial city of Cartagena De Indias. It was amazing to visit Buenos Aires, Santiago De Chile and Rio De Janeiro this year. I am glad the places I have been to are on the ranking.

I really envy you now, maximax. Do you go for convenience when you visit other places or are you a backpacker type?

I've never been in anyone of the list, but I wish I could go there in the future. huhu.. I've heard that all of the listed places are so clean and beautiful but I haven't heard anything for number 6. Maybe I'll try to do some research then..

So, which places have you visited, yel? Is there one place you've been to that you think deserves to be part of the list?

I have been to London, Rome, Paris and Berlin. I have been to London and Paris more than once, and I have had the chance to see many of the famous sights in those cities. In London my ex-boyfriend, my friend and I wanted to ride the London Eye, but we gave up that idea when we saw the line of people in front of us. I enjoyed the other famous sights like Madame Tussauds and Tower of London. In Paris I especially liked the Eiffel tower, Louvre, Sacre Coeur and Notre Dame. I also enjoyed my visit to Rome. I stayed with a friend of a friend and I had plenty of time to explore the city. I only had one day in Berlin, and I didn't get the chance to visit all of the places that I wanted to see, so I want to explore the rest of the city when I return. I think that all those cities are worth a visit. I have visited several places in the south of Spain, but I have never been to Barcelona. I am thinking about taking a combined trip to Spain (Madrid and Barcelona) Portugal and Morroco. My husband has been to Marrakech and he says that it is an interesting place to visit. I hope that we can visit Morrocco together one day. I am going to visit Siem Reap and Angkor Wat soon and I really look forward to exploring Cambodia and the neighbour countries. It will be my first visit to Asia.

Cambodia, with all its temples and a rich history, would really be an interesting place to visit. You can combine a trip to Laos and Vietnam with Cambodia. Are you a backpacker, porcospino?

It's so interesting to see Marrakech on the list. I wouédn't have thought it was this popular. I wanna go back, because I used to live a bit their woth my family when I was about 2 or 3, but I don't remember anything and that's soooo frsutrating. I've been to Rome, too, it's such a beautiful and enchanting city with all the ancient monuments and its ahtmosphere.

I also haven't heard much about Morroco. I wasn't expecting that to come up on the Top 10, more than some Asian countries like Thailand which is famous for its great beaches.
