Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...maybe or Beauty is in the hand of cosmetic surgeon...new trend. As the generation evolves as will as the definition of things. Now a days the meaning of beauty is taken literally... I want to have my nose fix because its a little bit... I want to make my cheekbone appear like... I think my butt is not that sexy, i want to make it..... and others... Cosmetic surgery is a help when you really need fixing, like you happen to have a car crash and it broke your nose then you need to be fix but sometimes people use it to feed up their insecurities. No one is perfect in many ways, i am not bless with everything beautiful but i am aware of my imperfection and accept it, it makes me stay humble...

i am proud of my physical appearance. but lets all face it, we are not perfect. i have flaws too. if i have the money, i would do the surgery to enhance what i got. but of course, i will do it with the licensed and experienced doctor.

Cosmetic surgery tends to run on the side of taboo because of people believing that we shouldn't mess with our faces or bodies, and that we should be proud of them just the way they are. I think that's silly. Naturally, we should learn to be at peace with our insecurities and realize that perfection is unattainable. After all, all the expert plastic surgery in the world can't make you look like the ideal of what you want to look like to the nth degree, it's just not possible. But if someone has a big crooked nose and doesn't want to live with it, I don't see why they should. We do hordes of things that aren't natural to our appearance like using hair dye, make-up, and decorating ourselves with fancy clothes and jewelry. Cosmetic surgery is just another thing we can do to make ourselves look better. So personally, that's how I see cosmetic surgery. There's nothing wrong with it fundamentally. It runs its risks, but everything does and contrary to popular belief most expert plastic surgery can go off without a hitch and wind up looking lovely and natural. I think it's great that we live in an era where we're moving towards being able to control and choose what we look like. And if it's really who we are on the inside that counts, whatever we do to our faces shouldn't matter.

I agree with that also. I don't think you should do anything permanent to your face on a whim! Someone considering plastic surgery should take it infinitely more serious than buying a house. Of course we all know the celebrities who have totally taken it too far, but that was a conscious (while not-so-smart) choice on their part. Plastic surgery rarely ends up that bad, and not everyone who goes under the knife once is doomed to be addicted.

I am not really into cosmetic surgery. Although I admit there were a lot of time when I wish to have a nose job for my imperfect nose. But then again, these were just thoughts and I really do not have plans to go under a knife just to change the "imperfections" that God has blessed me with.

Cosmetic Surgery is a NO NO for me. I am already contented God gave me. Even if i dont have the prettiest face, sexiest body and a flawless skin I would still be proud of my self. Yea, you're right i think it suits to those people who had an accident. It's something that could really help them regain what was lost to their physical appearance. If we talked about beauty, for me beauty comes with in not in physical appearance.

If you're able to afford cosmetic surgery, then more power to you. I would do it myself if I could. I hope you look around for a good surgeon beforehand. Sometimes, cosmetic surgery ends up making you look worse than better if you don't have a good cosmetic surgeon. Good luck to you.

For me, I don't have any problems with it. I wouldn't do it myself, but if someone feels better by having it done, it's okay. But if someone is visibly and obviously misuses it in a way it kind of hints that this person has serious problems with their body image psychologically, they should be stopped and taken to a psychologist, but that's another issue.
