Hi MyLotters
i was wondering do any of you believe in levitation and if you can really levitate.
What lead me to this question was this spell i want to try out that lets you levitate a small rock. It then develops onto making it levitate and move around. then goes onto making a vortex to bring items to you.
It sounds like something believable but what do you think.
Blessed you be

I'd have to say it's rather unbelievable. Did you make up this spell on your own or did you find it on the internet? There's a lot of spells listed at sites on the internet that have these unbelievable spells. I'm not saying that it couldn't possibly work, but it's very unlikely I'm afraid.

There have been numerous times during my sleep paralysis episodes that I have felt myself lifting up off the bed. I have also felt myself fall back down on to the bed a few moments before coming out of that state. Now, I can't say"Oh I've levitated" because I'm unable to open my eyes or move to actually see that there is proof of it. Plus even if I do manage to open my eyes in that state, I can not trust what I'm seeing. Sometimes during the times of my SP attacks I have also felt my sheets being pulled off of me, but when I finally manage to wake up my sheets are still up around me, so this makes me think maybe my floating feeling is some kind of physical hallucination.
My sister told me one time about seeing two guys lift up another guy by only barely touching him with a finger. There are other similar stories of this kind of levitation.
I don't do spells and this is not my own opinion, but I've always been told for a spell to work you have to believe that it will work in the first place.

As a Wiccan and a ceremonial magician, I must admit that I have never seen a spell that successfully does this. Of course, my spellwork tends to focus on being able to find rare books in used books stores at reasonable prices, and other probability based spells. I must admit that I have never had the patience to spend lots of time and energy on this type of spell, so that might be the problem. But the happy little cynic in me says that it would probably be easier to just simply pick up the rock and move it by hand. Blessed be.

No, i don't believe it at all. I just see it in magic only...and my body, i need many wings to levitate...

I sort of do because my friends and I use to play a game to levitate someone. We were all helping though. I think most of it is just illusion.

You can try "Wingardia leviousum!" but it only works at all if you say it just right. Yes, I enjoy Harry Potter and the scene where Hermione teaches how to use this spell but stories and reality are two different things.
As the Red Queen advised Alice, "You should try to believe at least two or three impossible things every day!" ... of course, that is fiction, too, but, nevertheless there are some people in the real world who seriously and faithfully believe in the most impossible and sometimes ridiculous things.

No, I do not personally believe in levitation. I believe it is a good magic trick to use, but nothing more than this.

Yes, I do. I don't think it would actually come from a spell, except in the instance, that the spell gives you the belief you can. Science has already proven that most of the human mind is unused. Who is to say that the percentage of the unused mind could not affect the energy and will of energy around and object and move it. Science has also proven that the human body does have an energy field, so I do not see why it is not impossible.
