Swagbucks refunded my prize! :(

I just found out that they refunded my prize ($25 paypal), and when I tried to reapply for it, they now have a SMS verification.
I have a feeling that they refunded my shipping because they just wanted me to give my phone number
For you Americans and UK and canadians... please tell me: Do they ask you for a SMS too?
Even if they changed the verification process, I think they don't have a right to refund the prize just to get me through the new system, but instead they should just wait until I get my next prize to try it out.
And is there any way to get around it without using my phone? I don't want to link my found to a SwagBucks account.
Thanks.

I have cashed out many times at swagbucks. I almost always get a verification email. Very easy and simple. One time I did not get my verification email but I was able to go to my account and verify through one of my security questions.
I do not remember if I gave swagbucks a phone number when I signed up. If so, it would have been my home land line. I have never been asked for my phone number or SMS. On Monday, I reedeemed swagbucks for $10 to PayPal. I got a verification email just like always.

I see... I think it is just my account. I think they are suspecting fraud on my part though I haven't done anything.
I think everything is probably normal for you guys, but it's not for me. Btw, have you noticed anything strange with SBTV lately?
I always refresh the same video but now I can only do it a limited amount of times before it takes me back to the homepage. Hmm.

I see that you are in Australia. Maybe the situation is different in Australia than in the United States. Why don't you email support?
I have not noticed anything strange with swagbucks lately. I found it more difficult to win bucks during March Madness but everything is back to normal.
Regarding swagbucks TV: I never watch the same video twice. I really like swagbucks tv and enjoy the many different videos. Maybe your refreshing the same video over and over again raised a red flag.
I would contact support and see if they are having a problem with your account.

Interesting. I've had quite a few prizes sent but never had them ask for my phone. It's always been through my email. (I'm in Canada).
I have had other problems pop up though, and have had success with emailing their customer support.

I think it's a random process, not everyone goes through it, though I have to admit that the comments that come from Australia say that our mobile phone numbers are not registered as proper cell numbers, so I don't know why they are getting us to do it too.

They give us a choice to verify by email or text I believe. I do not text, so it is always e mail. They send me double warnings to verify by e mail. I always do it twice as well. I am sorry that you are having this problem.

Hey, thanks.
I think the problem this time is that they offered me an option to use my security question, and that was what I chose, to test it out.
This may be the core problem. I might try again and see what happens, but I have sent in a support ticket.
Thanks for your sympathies though. :)

I am in the US and I get the option to verify via SMS or email.

Really? I tried looking at it again, but I didn't get the option to choose, they only want my mobile.

Hmm... that is very wierd. I would think the if the SMS option wasn't compulsory in Canada then it wouldn't be in Australia too.
Even then, they shouldn't have refunded an already verified shipping just so I can give them my phone number again.
Something is up...
