i'm almost done with my room. i took a break and cleaned out the bathroom. got rid of a bunch of old makeup, lotions, two bags full of crap. my bathroom is sparkling clean again. :) he's going to be so surprised! now, to find a way to get the totes hidden. now to get one more plastic tote to clean out and i can officially say my room is cleaned. the biggest surprise, J has decided to fix the kitchen light switch! yeah!!!!!!! husband is going to be very surprised to see it working when he gets back! i was surprised when he told me he was fixing it! :) son got to work on the yard today, so that's going to look good. so now, got to get the truck to pass inspection and get both vehicles detailed. can't wait to see the expression on his face when he sees all that has been accomplished.

That's super cool. It is always nice to be in a clean room. I know for sure he will greatly be surprised and appreciate the effort you have exerted. Clean surroundings keep our mood in good condition too, well for me :-) because I just observe that when I am already messy at home, my temper becomes short and I feel uncomfortable.

it does for him too. it's just been hard to keep it clean due to our hours. i work from 730 am to 6 pm and then he works 10pm to 7 am. when i'm getting ready for work, he's coming home and when he's getting ready for work, i'm going to bed. in between the times, we're trying to spend quality time together.

Spending quality time together is always good and will make every relationship grow stronger each day. :-)But sometimes our work eats our time. But anyway, I know for sure you always find time for family bonding.

Wow!
I've been trying very hard to sort through all of our stuff and pass along anything that we don't use, so I know how much work you've been doing. And I bet it feels so satisfying to get these things dealt with.

it does very much. now that today is payday, i go pay off the bills and hopefully can go do a little shopping, bring in some new stuff to make it better looking.

We're still in the decluttering phase, although my husband is now talking about a new set of furniture for the living room. I think it'll cost too much but we'll see.

Sounds like you've been very busy with cleaning and organizing. I am sure your husband will be very happy and exciting / surprised, but I know you will enjoy the new look and feel of everything as well.
I wish something could be done about where I live but it's so crazy. I've tried cleaning a bit, put some things in boxes but figured out it just made things in my way again. Oh well I'll get it done.

i feel so happy when i come into my room and bathroom, knowing it's clean and better organized and excited to see the expression on his face. between my hours and his, it's been so hard to do anything. this has been the perfect time to get all this done. since my friend is coming to visit, i know i won't get anything more done tonight and i have plans to go to my sister's house tomorrow, so i'll have a two day break from all the cleaning. i've already got a plan going starting on sun, especially since that's the halfway point for him coming home. i'll definitly be getting more stuff done outside of the house for home.
