reading books with tablets is becoming more popular. but i have not tried it actually. i am not fond of reading books. if i was i would have bought a gadget like that for ebooks like kindle. but my tablet also has free application for free books online but i don't bother at all to read books online. it hurts the eyes to use the tablet for long time. so i think better use real books or paper books in case i would love to read novels.

I absolutely abhor ebooks. I cannot stand them. I'm a huge reader, and I'm constantly reading, but I'll take three hardcover books I'll have trouble carrying over one slim tablet. I tried reading on a tablet, I really did, but it's just not the same. I love books, in all their paper glory. I kind of have an aversion to technology in general really.

Kindred spirit! I feel less alone in the world now!
I always rolled my eyes when people tell me that an ereader is portable. Books are already portable, and I wouldn't want to carry a library in my bag. Libraries should be large, overpowering, and majestic... not digital files on some tablet! And books are already easy to read in the sun without a glare, so I don't care that ereaders have "matched" them. I will be keeping my books as well!

I have my iPad and reading books from it is just one of the feature it has. When I go for a vacation or somewhere. I would rather have the books that I want to read in it. Less baggage to carry :)

You really don't have to use the application if you don't want to. It may be a trend these days but you're not oblige to follow it. I like reading books but I usually use my phone to read ebooks, and I also love hard copies or paperbacks. Reading them in the computer, laptop and the likes makes me feel dizzy so I really don't like 'em even if they are 'IN' nowadays. It's no use trying to cope with the current trend if I wouldn't really enjoy reading anyway.
