Wew.I been to Megamall this afternoon with my co worker to buy a gamepad for xbox in cd r king.We decided to just walk instead of riding in a cab or fx cause it is just a walking distance if you like.I noticed that it is quite already bumper to bumper traffice when I realized that it is 3 day sale today in Megamall. When we entered the mall, it is really crowded and lots of people going back and forth in to stalls and boutique. The department store is really crowded in every sections. The cashier's line is quite long so you better fall in line early so you can pay right away. All the establishments are quite full even the fast foods and restaurants. You can't even sometimes choose and see a merchandise if there are too many people over there to see it too.It is quite cause headache and so tiring to see those people. Indeed some of the items are really sale and in low prices so people will really go for it.And also schooling is quite approaching so there are lots of kids too there with their parents buying some school things like shoes. So those you will go there, you better come earlier and be patience enough in waiting.

During these 3-day sales in SM, we usually ent there before it opens. During the time it opens, there are only few people shopping. Also, the place is not that crowded yet. So before lunch time, we are already finished buying, and we will just take our lunch at home because most of the fast food were really full during lunch time.

Well, I think that is only true if the day of sale falls on a weekday still. Like Friday, most people will have to go to work first before they can spend out in the mall. I don't think that such a strategy in buying during sales will suffice during the weekend sales. I had an experience when many people are already gathered around the outside of the doors of the malls. They are like hungry predators ready to start a stampede once the doors are opened up!

Well, you know people...they like sales and the malls love them so that they can get easily get rid of their merchandise. I think that it is dependent on the person whether he or she can brace the crowds and the long, long lines. Also, people cannot help but bring their families to the sale so that everybody gets what they need (especially for the kids for the coming academic year). I am assuming that you don't like en masse of people and I share that sentiment. I hate long liens and I hate contacting people to gather when we are in a group. It's also hard to move and very inconvenient when you need to do or buy something but can't because there is a line to the merchandise or in the cashier line. Perhaps, the only person happy in this situation is the mall owner since it guarantees that they will have the profit after the sale.

That's so true. Well, its a retail business, first of all, so they're really up for the profit. And, I'm sure a lot of people love going for bargains. For us, who don't like the idea that you will have to bare with the crowd, heat and noise, let's just sit it out.

It's really nice when malls got their merchandise on sale. But the problem is- the place is too crowded and you cannot enjoy shopping. I seldom buy during this time "on sale" due to this reason "too crowded". But if it is a "one week sale" much better- the place is not too crowded and you will have time to choose and look for things that worth buying for.

YEah, I remember once we wen to sm on a 3 day sale too- it was really packed.. It was just me and my sister, and we went to the movies, the theater was so full and we had to stand. ANd when we went home it was so hard to find a cab..i got a bit scared since we live far from the mall..but luckily we got home safe.

I think, when a mall goes on sale, it will be swarmed with buyers. That's because it's their chance of buying those branded ones with an almost 50% discount. At least the money that could have been spent on the other 50% , could already buy other items. At a little amount you can already buy something. That's how SALE attracts people and that includes me.

Whew! Good thing that I didn't went in there after work. I had some idea earlier to go in there and look for items on sale. Yes, malls do get crowded big time during such times. Also, mid year bonuses have just been given out so expect people to go on a spending spree. And yes, most parents grabs this time to buy for school needs of their children. That is why I think that SM really is good on timing their sales offers. They know their market pretty well that's why they are successful in such kind of business.

Any SM mall that holds a 3-day sale can really pack a lot of people. I usually avoid these times but it's hard to resist checking those items on sale since some do indeed are really good buys. And with our purchasing power ever so diminishing, whatever we could save is really great on our budget. Best way really is to go to the malls the first hour it opens and have a list of the stuff we plan to buy or check out. And then get out of the mall before it gets packed with people :)

I love buying things on sale. But, I try to avoid SM malls' 3 day sale. You just can't breathe in there! The lines are so long and it's just a nightmare. The last time there was a 3 day sale at Megamall (and we didn't know there was one), it was sooooo crowded. We fled to nearby Shang. Ah, serenity!

I very rarely visit Megamall due to the distance from Cavite. During the few times that I visited Megamall, I found it too crowded for my taste and comfort. In Cavite we have the most number of SM malls and I always choose the lunch hours on working days to avoid the crowd. I am never happy when there are too many people since it interferes with the selection process. During weekends, SM malls are always crowded even when there is no sale. It is strange to see that there are more people in the malls than in the parks. People prefer to be entertained in the malls rather then the zoos or the natural environment. People go to malls even without any intention of shopping but just to enjoy the air conditioned environment for free especially in the heat of summer.

Oh, I don't like to fight for a space walking around malls when its sale time. I just hate the crowded places and having to line up for hours at the counter. I would probably go if I really needed to buy many things. Sometimes we end up buying things we don't really need if we see these "SALE" banners.
