Since I want my son have a good habit of reading. So we often go to the library together. At least I shall like reading and therefore it is possible to have an effect on him. I borrow the cooking magazines since I am interested in cooking. And my son will go to the library to borrow the books which he is interested in, such as the science books. I am glad that he likes reading now

I don't often go to the library because I'm really fond of buying books for myself. I haven't been to the library in maybe a year's time, but when I run out of new books to read then I'm going again because I don't have any money to buy books. I like the library, and I'm so glad it's there because I'm a huge reader, but book-buying tends to take priority over borrowing for me.

I buy books from Amazon sometimes too, but it's not nearly as much fun. I like walking around and browsing through the books.

Oh yeah, I much prefer to borrow from the library, especially if a book comes out and I don't know the author; this way I can read and see if I like it and if it is worth the money to buy the book. I am trying to tell my son this too, because he desperately wants to read "The Hunger Games" but I told him it would be better to borrow it before buying, because we don't know this author. On the other hand, we have three of the "Miller Brothers" books and they have one due out this summer, but this book I will just buy because I know the authors..

Oh, you mean the Hunter Brown books? No, my son is collecting them, just like I collect my favorite author's books, but I won't buy the book if I don't know the author, then I borrow them..:)

Hi! It is really a good habit to go to Library and read books. Borrowing books from Library does not involve any expenditure (except for time spend to visit the Library) and we need to read the book within the stipulated time. When I am free, I visit my office library and borrow some novels for reading at my leisure.

It is so convenient. I am not sure whether our library can offer such a service.

I will borrow books from the library from time to time. It doesn't happen very often, but sometimes I'll take a look and see a book that I'm interested in reading. It depends on different things.

I always used the library a lot in the past bit since I bought my Kindle I hardly ever go. However when my children were little I registered them all from being a few months old and we always visited the library every week. We started off with baby board book and progressed as their reading skills did. Thankfully this grounding meant that all my children developed my love for books and are all now good readers.

I'm glad that you and your son go to the library together. The library really is an awesome place to go to. I too want my daughter to have good reading and writing skills so I often take her to the library and get books for her. I'm also hoping to get her involved in the children's programs they have at the library.

Thanks. I think so too. I want her to enjoy learning and reading. The way for us to do that is read to them regularly and surround them by books. They will develop a love for learning that way.

Reading makes a man perfect. They are the source of knowledge which leads to a path of earning. Most of the great personalities who lies in the various levels of the nation have the habit of reading books. These include our father of nation, former president Dr. Abdul Kalam used to read the books. This signifies the importance of reading among us. Reading plays and important role for developing skills in us. They helps us to shape our personality at a wide range. This is how important to read the books in our life. So I keeps myself and my son to keep reading them. Books are the treasure of knowledge I am very happy to tell you that I make us of all the chances to read all of the books which is available to me. I make use of library and internet to get me books at free cost.

It's really a good habit that you are trying to instill in your child. In today's era of World Wide Web where everything is available online, we usually forget the things that are easily available near us. Reading from books always helps. Though I have this habit of buying books rather than getting them from the library because I feel as if they are my possessions and I never want to part with them. But yes sometimes I get the books issued from the library and get them re issued whenever i want them again.

It used to be a rare thing for me to borrow books from the library. Don't get me wrong, I love libraries and have spent much of my time in them for different things, but I rarely borrowed books. I think that this was because I had a habit of buying books. I had many many books, and unfortunately, I moved a lot, so it was a major deal to move all those books. Recently, my habits have changed, and in the past couple of years, I have started borrowing many books from the library. I go regularly and check out several books at a time, read them, then do it again. I am glad to hear that your little boy likes to read. He is really growing since I last saw his photograph on here some years ago.

You are doing a wonderful thing with your son by taking him to the library. My children loved going there when they were little and they are really good readers now, as well. Our library recently was remodeled and it is beautiful and comfortable. It is one of my favorite places to go in town.

I admit that I haven't gone as often since I got my Nook, with all the free ebooks available. But there is a small public library near where I work, and they do know me well there. I tend to go more in the warmer months, when it is a nice walk on my lunch hour!

We only went once in a while but since my kids get tutoring there we are there atleast once a week. I think once a week is plenty as I get mixed up then on due dates of items and then incur fee's and I don't like to have to pay fee's.

Ever since when I was a kid, i never borrow kids from library except if it's a requirement from the teacher. Since I got a kid now, I hope he won't follow me and he will start to love books. I will be the one to guide him through.

Hello friend, Yes, I like to read and time to time I borrow books from my office library. Sometimes work keeps me busy and I completely forget about taking the book with me. Still, I would go ahead and take it because whenever I get little time, I would continue reading it.

YEs, it is really good t encourage your child to read since he can learn a lot of things from reading.. It's really good that he likes science too, not many like it. You should expose him to other genre though.
