If I cannot figure out something in about a minute, I tend to move onto the next thing that I need to do. Especially on an exam, where there is only so much time. If that is the only question that I missed and there are other questions that I know the answers for sure, might as well get the answers that I really go to right then. That way I can get those points and return to that problem. Plus when you really just go down the list and keep it up, chances are something may be triggered right in your mind. If you keep focused on a problem, you'll just really get frustrated a lot of the time. Then problems that you can solve will get suffered. Sometimes it is just best to leave a task right as it is and return to it, time permitting later on.

It depends. If I have anything (anything) I could start from, I'd try to start writing something or start the task (if it's like a Mathematical thing, I write up all the data from it, they may worth one point), but iuf I'm clueless I leave it blank. Also I leave it blank if I'm at a teacher who's biggest pet peeve is someone talking themselves out of a task in an exam... I've had one like that :).

I guess I would try to answer it to the best of my ability in that case. Since I couldn't ask for help I would try to think of something to put in there. At least that way I would know I would have tried even if I didn't get credit for it, or get the answer right.
