What program to record an audio and save it with HD Quality ? / myLot

I've use microsoft sound recorder and download some programs from internet to record audio.. but, it seems not sound right ..It sound bad !! Do you know what program to record an audio with HD quality ?? I need it for my game...

as 3account said hd is for video. What do you want to record for? you can also use FL studio or ejay if you want to use it for song writing.

then as 3account mentioned, soundforge is a good one. But you should have a good mic too if you want a good sound quality :)
