There is NO fixed rate 'per post'. You are paid according to the quality of your participation and it is calculated over a 24 hour period, from midnight to midnight each day as shown at the bottom - "MyLot Time", which will NOT usually coincide with your day.
DO NOT believe anyone who claims that you "make $0.01 per post". They are basing their assumptions on their own experiences or hearsay and it has been proved many times that the people who say this are generally "under-performing".

We are told in at least one place that short and meaningless posts in a discussion will do nothing to increase your earnings:
"DO NOT ... Thank everyone that responds or comments on your discussion. This will not increase your earnings." http://www.mylot.com/o/guidelines.aspx

Please realise that you ONLY earn for your own efforst here.
You do NOT earn anything for the responses that others post on your topics. They earn for those.

Please read the links in the previous responses if you want to understand myLot and get the best out of the time that you spend here - and realises that YOU only earn for YOUR OWN efforts.

People always give a link to the faq which if we wanted to,everyone could find and read.Without everybody posting the links here.

We give the link to the FAQs as proof of the information that we are giving.
I agree that everyone could find the link and the information for themselves but if they have strated a topic about it then obviously they haven't

MyLot admin deliberately don't go into too much detail about how pay rates are decided - they don't wany anyone taking advantage of the information to find ways to fiddle the system. The best advice is not to worry about the money, and just focus on having fun and making quality posts - you'll find that your earnings grow without effort.
