My friend, who is Mexican, told me that real mexican's don't celebrate Cinco de Mayo, and that's just something white people in America like to do. Does anyone know if that true or not? I just assumed it was a holiday in Mexico that they celebrated just like we do with our holidays.

Well, I guess Mexican people love to celebrate that holiday as badly as those white people does. Because from I saw, those Mexicans definitely will get drunk, and definitely will prepared some great food for that day. And for the white people, they also found an excuse to celebrate it, and also get drunk if they could. So, who care whether that is a Mexican holiday, or white people's holiday, we still celebrate on May 5th.

Very true, and I like it. This response, being the only , is clearly the best.

I don`t understand what you mean by white ppeople. It seems that you oppose the term "white people" to "mexicans". Being a Mexican means being born in Mexico and it is not a race. In the United States, it sems that white race is, or will soon be, a minority. In Mexico the amount of people belonging to the white race is very big. But neither in the United States nor in Mexico or in any other american country we can vouch for the race of any of its citizens unless they have immigrated lately.
