Have you tried drinking green barley juice for health purposes? I just heard from a friend who sells the product that this barley juice can heal a lot of ailments and it was mentioned in the Bible thirty-seven times. I did some research about this barley juice and now I'm motivated to drink it to keep myself healthy.

hi rose.
my whole family drinks green barley juice. the retail price of a bottle here in manila costs is Php350. the friend of my mom is a distributor so we get it from her in bulk. we get 28 bottles at Php6000 which is the minimum order. by doing so, a bottle of green barley juice costs Php215. really substantial savings if ordered through a distributor.
i usually drink it in the morning immediately when i wake up and at night before going to sleep. one bottle would last me five days. i would say that my body reacts positively to the green barley juice so i've included it in my daily routine.
cheers and happy mylotting.

I am guessing that you are drinking Green Barley Juice from HWC? That is good. I've ran out of bottles since two weeks ago and I need to drink it again since I am suffering from a joint pain in my index finger and I also have an eye infection. My health card has expired so I couldn't afford to see a medical practitioner to pay for consultation in cash basis (ranging in 300-400 Philippine peso) so I feel that this juice is budget-friendly and could help solve my health problems.

hi rosethorns.
not sure if this is the same green barley juice. i wasn't aware until now that there were different kinds. anyway, we'll be ordering another set by next month. i think the Php6000 investment is a good one especially if it helps one maintain good health. my mother's friend actually offered to split the Php6000 cash out to Php3000 so we get 14 bottles and she gets to resell the other 14. not a bad deal really.
cheers and happy mylotting!!!

The grain, barley is mentioned in the Bible a number of times (32, not 37, according to one report I read). This information, however, is largely irrelevant in the context of 'juice of green barley grass'.
In general, ALL green vegetables contain health-giving properties. There is really nothing particularly special about 'grass juice'. Cows, after all, subsist on it entirely.
Pages such as this http://www.gl-health.com/barleylife/grass.htm exist to sell a product. They do this by vastly (and often falsely) magnifying the benefits while trying to divert your attention from the fact that you can obtain exactly the same nutrients and more from any fresh, green vegetables.
Why pay an exorbitant amount for a bottle of pills when you can go to your garden or the market and get the same benefits for a great deal less money?

I don't doubt the accuracy of the list of ingredients given on that page. I doubt, though, that its formulation is based on any real scientifically-proved principle at all. The capsules apparently just contain minute quantities of everything which they can possibly claim is 'good for you' and are clearly priced based on the maximum amount they can possibly charge.
You can easily and FAR more cheaply get the benefit of all of the things mentioned (and some of them have little or no basis in science at all) by eating a normal, varied and healthy diet.
If you really think that 'barley grass' has particularly health giving properties, why not just get a small quantity of barley and sprout it at home on your window sill? Once it has grown to a reasonable height, just cut it with scissors and add it to the other vegetables and fruit in your juicer. Drinking the juice of freshly harvested vegetables and fruit is immeasurably more beneficial and MUCH cheaper than buying minuscule amounts of the dried powder at vast expense in capsules!

I take green barley powder. In my own experience I have found I have more energy, sleep better and have experienced major weight loos. Also my skin is clear - no more acne and my fingernails are growing nice and strong. I haven't changed anything in my diet or lifestyle except for adding the green barley, so I attribute the changes to that. The only way you will know if it helps you or not is to give it a good trial. And yes I do grown and eat my own vegetables at home so it's not like I never eat good food. I just think the green barley helps my body to operate more efficiently. It's up to you to try it or not, personally I think the cost is not excessive as I buy the powder in capsule form. And it's not much to pay for feeling as good as I do now. For me it's about good nutrition and giving my body everything it needs to function right :)
Best of luck with it all
