samsung galaxy or iphone4s, which phone would you prefer?

I'm planning to buy a phone but still thinking on what kind, Most of my office mates are using iphone4s and all of them preferred iphone because it helps them alot not just in their personal use but also at work, they can access our mails anytime anywhere as long as the iphone is with them, It also has alot of features. But my friends insist me to choose samsung as it has a good features as well. Up to now i cant decide on what to buy, but what ever i chose i will definite love and enjoy using it :)

Well, for me i am somekind into android nowadays since it has many functions that idevice don't have because android is open source and we can basically do what ever we want with them. But with a little search on the net, some people said that idevice is better in terms of running application since all the apps are made compatible for the device itself, where android device comes in many variety which most people would have problems installing apps they want and sometimes the games run fluidly on idevice and not on android with the same specs.
