Hello fellow MyLotters.
Tonight is the closest approach of the moon to Earth. At around 11pm EDT the moon will officially become full. Extra big, extra bright moon which is also called as supermoon. Tonight there will be a meteor shower too. The name of the shower is "Eta Aquarids" which is found to occur from April up to May 20 and according to the records in encyclopedia, it will occur most in May 5. But sad to know that due to the supermoon, it will be quite hard to see the meteor shower.
I'll wait for it to watch.
Would you like to watch it too? hehehe

For the supermoon, I never notice about it.But for the meteor rains, yes I ever saw it once in April 1998.
I really-really remember about it cause the elder in my area believe it as a sign.
And in May, Soeharto get fall.
Thats the first time I saw a meteor rains, hundreds with a blue color.I as far as I could see, 5 to 10 in one.

Is this only for certain parts of the world? I didn't notice anything different about the full moon, tonight, where I am.
I have never seen meteor shower, either. I do hope I could catch one before I leave this world...well, I probably have 20 more years to wait.

Ahw. I'm sorry for late response because I fall asleep early. I haven't watch the moon last night too because the sky was full of clouds and was unable to see the moon.I think it is all over the world because I've read it too in many websites like yahoo and many more. And the meteor shower, they said that it will be seen near the constellation Aquarius. If you can see that constellation then it'll be sure to see that meteor shower. According to the encyclopedia, that shower starts every April and ends on May 20. You still have chance to see that meteor shower. But it has a lower chance to see that because May 5 is the date it will occur most.
