We just bought a house with a pool *in* the house! Is that cool or what?

You are so lucky! I would love to have an indoor pool. I could swim everyday! Swimming is excellent exercise and doesn't wear on the joints. Having an indoor pool would save a lot in gym fees too!

Unfortunately, since the sun can't heat the pool, it will cost us way more than a monthly gym fee to keep it heated but you're right...swimming is like the perfect exercise. I swam in high school and in college. Even now, if I want to get in good shape I just swim everyday for a month and I'm back in great shape!

We actually got a great deal on the house. Plus the pool room is attached but not heated and cooled yet so it doesn't technically count as real square footage. When we sell this house down the road, we will put a split heater/ac unit in there so we will gain like 900 extra sqft and the cost of the house will go up.
We asked for a ridiculous buying price and the owner accepted because he had to relocate to Japan ASAP. So we were pretty lucky.

They are alot of work, but it would be nice to have one inside. Good luck.

That's very sweet - thank you!
Ya, I love going to hotel pools too, especially elaborate ones. Some of the coolest ones I've been in are at Myrtle Beach with multi levels and lazy rivers. They are so much fun. I was a serious swimmer in high school and college so I can really appreciate just messing around and having fun.
