If They Allowed Transgender To Compete Why They Can't Allowed Married Women?

Mr. Trump a multi billionaire business tycoon owned the prestigious beauty pageant Miss Universe alongside with the NBC as his partner. Now that he change the rules in Miss Universe beauty pageant his organization and him also is creating a massive controversy in the entire pageant and entertainment industry. The pageant credibility is at stake and it is on the hot sit right now about the questionable rules that has been running through the years. Before the rules was "only natural born woman are allowed to join the pageant, they should be unmarried and never born a child" but today the rules has change it and they allowed artificial woman to compete on the pageant. Because of this change of rules many eyebrows are raising and many burst in anger why he allowed this things to happened even if he owned the pageant. Jenna's Talackova case is one of the headlines all over the world and she is the root cause of this that's why Miss Universe change its rules. My view about this is that Miss Universe should review their rules and their goals why they cant allowed married women and divorced one to compete on the pageant even if they have the qualities of a beauty queen? The fact that they are natural born woman. They should consider it before heading to a decision to allow transsexual to compete on real women category. They can also create another pageant a prestigious one so that transgenders can compete without alienating the real women so that there is a fair square competition. I have nothing against Miss Talackova and all that transsexual out there cause I understand and love them also my point here is that those on the position must know how to put things at the right place so that the balance of competition is still there. What do you think guys? Do you think Mr. Trump should create another pageant for transgender? Do you think he should consider married women and divorced one to compete on the pageant provided that they are on the age limit? Do you think there is still a credibility on this pageant? I think that regardless the Miss Universe should solely be for those who are born female. It would be a lot confusing if they start allowing transgenders to compete. Soon we'll have runners and Olympians citing that they should compete in whatever category they 'feel' like because it's their right. The main point in the Pageant is that it displays women, period. I am not much of a fan of the Pageant, but I wouldn't think it's worth watching anymore if transgenders are included there. I mean, if they allow that person to compete there, then moms, divorced, and even older women should be able to do so, they are all women and they all have rights. Further, there would be no more height requirements and such. Soon all the rules should be gone because of the RIGHTS. True. Why shouldn't they just put another Pageant featuring the Transgenders instead? If I were the judges or decision-owners, I would even put there only those natural-borne women who have never had surgery should be allowed to participate. That would be fair. Have a great MyLot experience ahead!

Definitely no to creating another beauty pageant. What is a beauty pageant in the first place? I think it's terrible that women actually put themselves on display like that, prancing around on a stage, performing talents, having swimsuit competitions etc and letting people judge them on their looks. Everyone is beautiful and these women must be very insecure if they allow themselves to be judged and voted upon in the hopes of receiving a crown to convince themselves and others that they are beautiful. Beauty pageants are a thing of the past. Just sayin.

I agree with you completely and feel that any woman who needs to compete in a beauty pageant whether natural born or not has a lot of insecurities. The people watching are just vultures that don't mind these women objectifying themselves to be called beautiful. They should just do away with the pageants in my opinion. My siblings came over and were watching a Nickelodeon TV show called Fairly Oddparents. The child Timmy has fairy god parents and wished that he was the last person on earth or something so the popular girl would like him. She snapped a bit at the beginning and kept saying "Tell me I'm pretty" at different points. To me women in pageants are just like that.

Yes, please, please tell me I'm pretty. And if you don't I'll keep caking on my make-up and changing my clothes and answers to the stupid questions you ask until you do. Please!

I think married women are more qualified to be in the said pageant since they are still naturally women. I still cannot believe that they allowed a transgender to compete- even other transgenders oppose it.

speaking of jenna talackova, she didnt win nor became a finalist. Canada prefered a beautiful Indian Canadian woman to win. I think she knows she is not going to win but she wants to make history and have publicity. If they cant allow married women, How about divorced women, in a way a divorced woman is a miss. There is actually pageants for transexuals, 1 is held in vegas and 1 is held in Thailand. The one in Thailand is considered to be the ultimate one.

I think the pageant is still credible because its nothing more than stereotypical women whether they are natural born or not trying to get compliments and feel superior to other women because they were judged on beauty. All of them men, women, transgender will be trying to fill this stereotypical vision of beauty that most people don't even look like. If they let different types of shallow superficial people enter... why should anyone care? I am a married woman and I am not shallow and superficial enough to prance around on stage and give BS answers and things for a cheap crown that I will have for a year when I can buy a better one to keep for longer. I am 24. I have had two kids. I keep myself together and I don't need to paint my face on every day and get compliments for not being like most women who cake on their face everyday. I go to school to make a difference with my brains. So.. let's see... I am a good wife and mother, naturally pretty, and quite intelligent considering my 4.0 GPA in college. This competition is pointless and any mature married woman in my opinion wouldn't need to take part in something so pointlessly trivial.

The winners of the pageant have duties to fulfill, being an international ambassador. Perhaps, due to that purpose, they can't allow married women, because their status may hinder them from stepping in to the role of a Miss Universe. Most married women, especially with children, can't be away from their family too long. They also have duties to their family. Single women can very well contribute to the goals and mission of the Miss Universe organization.

I don't think it's fair to change the rules, even if keeping up with modern times to a degree. If they want to keep up with modern times they should allow Women who have had a child or divorced (but is still technically single) to compete and make it truly modern. Afterall many women have children out of wedlock, so that shouldn't discredit them either. Eitherway it doesn't matter I don't watch the pagents anymore. As a kid I did, but now days no they don't portray a modern everyday woman but rather the stereotype the majority will never be.

In my opinion, gav with Trump permitting the transgender to join Ms. Universe, it will not be as prestigious as it is before anymore. Just like you, i believe that he should create another pageant for all transgender only. What would the gays feel, if a real woman joins their pageant too?

I think Mr.Trump should create another pageant for transgender. Miss Universe is for naturally born women, that is why it was named MISS UNIVERSE because it is for women. This is only my opinion and I agree with you.

I agree with you. I think they should have another pageant for transgender because it will not be fair from those who were natural born woman. Ever since, the Ms. Universe is only for those who are natural born woman.Transgenders should have a different category.
