Gary Johnson just recived the nomination of the Libertarian Party which has ballot access in all 50 States for the election in November.
This is a great choice for those that don't like Obama or Romney. As Gary Johnson is offering something that neither Romney or Obama can offer which is a clear an consistent record. Obama has flip flopped and so has Romney.

Yes, but he is not well enough known to win. I just hope he doesn't make it easier for Obama to win; anyone but him has to be better.

He only needs to poll at 15% to get on the Debate stage which right now he is polling at 7%. So he could do it especially now that he will have the Libertarian Party behind him to make sure that he gets to that mark. This is the first time that the Libertarian Party has a really good shot at making it to the level to make it to the National Debate Stage which will allow him to force both Obama and Romney to actually debate the issues. Which is something neither of them will be use to.

The libertarian party had a good shot way back in 1980. That's when Reagan insisted that the libertarian candidate be allowed at the debates and Carter refused. Thanks to Carter's pompous attitude the libertarian candidate actually got to debate Reagan one on one while Carter sat at home watching the debate. A lot of people thought it would hurt Reagan and that he would lose the debate. In the end Reagan won the debate and Carter was weakened by his refusal to participate.

You're right, he is not well enough know to win RIGHT NOW.
But, if everyone gets behind him and gets word out about him then he would have a shot. So, send info about him and his record to everyone you know and ask that they forward it to everyone they know. It is called "going viral" and it can and does make a difference.
Here is a link to his official website - http://www.garyjohnson2012.com/
That is a good place to start.

I like Johnson for the most part. If Paul doesn't get the nomination or run as an independent (not likely to happen), Johnson is getting my vote in the general. He may well be the first Libertarian party candidate with a real shot at winning the election. AS much as I am right now campaigning for Paul, I am also nudging people to find out more about Johnson and the Libertarian party, because I want to a.) have an actual choice in the general election this time around and b.)have him already well on his way to being well known and considered a "valid" candidate by the time the general election season starts up. So I guess you can say I'm actually campaigning for two candidates.
The wild card in all of this is probably a potential VP position for Ron Paul on the Libertarian ticket. I think it would cinch the election for Johnson if he made this move.

I am not sure if the Libertarian Party would allow that as right now it is Johnson and Grey for President under the Libertarian ticket.
So I don't know if Ron Paul could get on the ticket or not. It will be interesting to see if Ron Paul doesn't get the Nomination who he will endorse as in 2008 he endorsed the Constitution Party candidate and the few times when he was asked who he would pick as his VP he pretty much refused to answer.

Thank you for this post. SO many people do not even realize they have a choice outside of the Republican and Democratic parties. We the people need to vote in some one from another party and remind these politicians they work for us!
