blurry and shaky vision

Something is definately going on with my eyes. I have noticed that it is getting harder to focus on things, blurriness is a daily occurance, as well as shakiness in my vision. It is almost like when I look at something it shutters really fast side to side or up and down. It is like looking at hot asphalt in the summer when the wavy lines rise up above it...that is how I can describe it best. I only am convered with insurance once a year and have at least 2 months to go before I can go back...this is not something I want to mess around with but I don't know if I should wait it out or not. Thoughts??

If I am not mistaken, you are waiting on a neurologist referral? Or a diagnosis from your doctor on some other health problem? Check with your primary physician first, because if this is part of your other problem it should be covered, separately from your regular eye appointment. It also may be a clue for the doctor who is trying to diagnose you. The others are correct, it is serious, so do what you need to. Some serious vision problems can be repaired if treated quickly, others are actually symptoms of neurological difficulties.

Yeah I told my primary and he thinks it is related so I don't know what to do now at this point. I can't figure out how to help my eyes until I get my neuro diagnosis. How catch 22 does my life have to be? aye.

How old are you? Why don't consult with an ophthalmologist immediately? I think it is your first and foremost duty to consult with an ophthalmologist immediately.
