It's been too many years since the last time I played under the rain. I can't even remember the last time I did. It rained a while ago and it was too hot this morning and afternoon so I decided to take away the heat and feel the coldness of the rainwater. It's a good thing the rain lasted enough for me to enjoy. Too bad for my 7-year old nephew. The rain was about to stop when he joined me. I'm not a kid anymore but I love it when I do kiddie stuff. Makes me forget my age.

I used to bath at rain but now I am much matured I do not used play at rain anymore. At childhood I used to find fun and enjoyment in it but I am very sad to tell you that I cannot do them anymore because I am much matured.

Really? I remember I played a lot in the rain and I don't remember my mom stopping me. She probably did a few times but I so much enjoyed the times she allowed me that the days she did not allow me didn't matter anymore.

its like being a kid again right? I let my children play under the rain..and there are times i do join them. Me and hubby often go under the rain as well...often during times when we left from work and it will be raining, we would not stop, we let the rain come down on us and drive in our motorcycle all wet... lol.. it is fun for us..

That sounds really fun! It's adorable how a family would enjoy something together especially if it's kiddie stuff.

Awww... That's too bad. Maybe your daughter just don't want to look childish.

that is great. it is always fun to be able to bath in the rain..i am not able to do it anymore these days..i remember it was a long time ago when i was still a kid..but it would be great to try again to bathe in the rain even now that we are already grown up just to relive those things we do and enjoy as a kid.

You should do it again when the opportunity comes.

It's raining here right now. Including today, its been three days straight of rain. Well, back to the discussion. During my school days, which I spent at all-girl boarding school, fellow students would went out into the rain when it come pouring down. They even brought shampoo along. :) I'm not so much into those crowd-merry things, but i joined them once in my last year. And I'm glad i did, because the memory is precious.

Shampooing in the rain? Oh, I have tried that! But it was because there was no other water but rainwater. I was working as a community organizer then and I went to a rural village where houses collect rainwater for bathing and washing.

You're not alone. I also enjoy the rain the same during my childhood days. I love the way the rain falls in your head and the cold feeling you'll get as time passed by. It also great if the rain is coupled with thunder and lightning.

I am not one that like playing in the rain...and we have had a ton of it lately..but I prefer to stay dry. I don't know why but I am glad you have captured those moments with your nephew.....no matter how short the time was.

I'm glad to have had fun with them (my four-year old niece was there, too, forgot to mention her) really. I wanted to take pictures of us but of course, it was not possible because I was wet and I'm afraid to ruin my gadgets. There was no one around to take pictures of us and I couldn't scream my lungs out just to call someone.

Dear friend, When I was kid I used to play in rain without knowing of my parents. Even now I do love to play in rain. During my school and college days I had played well in rain. But very rarely got any fever or cold due to. Only thing I need some one or few people have company with me.

I am reminded of life in Florida where it rained everyday at the same time. We often ran outside and enjoyed the cooling showers. We splashed in the puddles and looked for rainbows. It was a magical time that I haven't experienced in many years. You are lucky, secretbear to have indulged in one of life;' simple pleasures.

Oh yeah, I feel lucky to have experienced it again. I seldom feel the urge to shower in the rain so I always take advantage of my mood when it comes.

Yeah, this post made me think of how long it has been since I did played in the rain. But nowadays, I am quite afraid of the rain. I feel that I might get sick as acid rain is pouring down on me. I have experienced before when I forgot to bring my umbrella and I was showered by the rain, I already got sick the day after. That is why I am avoiding rain also. Now it is really hard to judge whether playing in the rain anymore is safe unlike before when I was still a kid.

Maybe you weren't just in a good condition when you got wet from the rain. I have not heard of acid rain happening here in our country so I don't worry about getting rain-wet. I do worry about getting colds and cough so I'm careful not to get too cold.

It's refreshing, indeed! I liked the feeling of just raising my head and letting the rain fell on my face.

When I have the time to enjoy the rain (so I'm not running somewhere dressed up oh-so-perfect), I love playing around. I dance in the rain and stuff... and if I have clothes on which I wouldn't really feel bad about if they went wrong or went dirty, I love jumping into poodles!

You and my 7-year old nephew are the same. He loves jumping in little pools of water. And I'm the killjoy bad guy because I would stop him from doing it because the water would splash into me.

Great that you can overlook the opinion of others to let the child inside out. Do you ever invite other adults to play with you? I have no experience playing under the rain. Because it is not common in my culture. How do you actually play?Do you run or scream?

No. I don't invite other adults because it's hard to tell if they want to or not. It's easier to invite kids because they are most likely to say yes. I don't really run or scream when I'm under the rain. But when I was still a kid I used to run back and forth and then I would take a "shower" under the gushing water from the roof gutters of some houses in the neighborhood. And then, we also used to make boats from water hyacinths in the lake. We would release the boats to the lake until it gets swept away by the waves.
