Man City kept their cool to defeat Newcastle 2-0 to have one hand on the EPL Title. Both goals were scored by Yaya Toure in the second half. Newcastle fought really hard and were in the battle till the end, but City simply had too much class.
So looks like the title is now headed for the blue side of Manchester!!
Cheers!

Yes, this seems to be it. I just hope that United will catch them up, although I dislike them also, but I hate the fact that the toy of a sheik will lift a major trophy. I am going to follow United's performance today with great interest.

Unfortunately, City did this, but in a way that is not honorable for a football team. It is a pity that football is so dirty, and this is mostly due to the owners who don't treat football with fair play.

@Rap,
Unfortunately, I need to disagree with you on this. There was no shame in the manner in which City fought back to win the game. With 5 minutes of injury time to go they were trailing QPR 2-1 and then the players found the will to fight back and win the game 3-2 with goals from Dzeko and Aguero. I think there is no shame in that. It is not players' fault if owner has too much money to burn.
Cheers!

Hello Ram,
This is the logical conclusion but as you would know, football is a funny game and the English Premier League has got a history of instances when the title slipped up on the very last day.
Being a Manchester United fan, I really hope for something similar this year but whatever happens in the end, both the Manchester sides have played exceptional football this season and whoever wins the title would be worthy of it.
I am sure United would come out stronger next season.

Scholes and Giggs have been playing for United for some time now and they are due to retire any time soon. Scholes initially announced his retirement from football but was persuaded by Alex Ferguson to return to Man United as there has been no suitable replacement for the talented midfielder. It would be difficult to find someone suitable.

Well since they managed to win the difficult match I think that City is closer than ever to lift the trophy. I just hope that the former captain of my team (Panathinaikos, in Greece) D.Cisse would manage to score against them in the last match, though I think that it is really difficult for them (city) to lose it in this match.

Unless there is a major swing in the goal difference or an unlikely upset at the Etihad, Man City will be crown the Champions of England. As a neutral, I have mixed feeling about it. It is always good to have a new champions but on the other hand, seeing the gross amount of money spent and their attempts to destabilise other teams, I would love to see them fall flat on their face.
