Who believes in god or some other higher power and who does not? My self I am not sure if I think there is a higher power, I tell my kids there is a heaven and there granddads and aunt are in heaven along with there dog and fish that passed away. I know my two older kids are 3 and 4 and do thing god is real but I know they do not understand it. SO anyway what do you all think is god or a higher power real or made up?

No one can't really give a concrete answer to this because I think it had been a mystery ever since. There are people who believes that someone above there with higher power that do exist and there are people who do not. Most of the people who are in the former category lives their lives offering everything they did and their plans to Him, they believe that the reason why they are on Earth is to fulfill His purpose and everything happens because He will it so. I believe that someone up there do exist, however I'm not really active at church services and the likes and even though I'm a believer I actually get annoyed when I hear things and was being judged by religious persons (some are religious freaks). I may not be active, but hey, we have different way of showing our faith and all; I really don't like it whenever they over-react on things. And I may be a believer but I don't like it when they shove their belief and traditions on my face. And I've met quite a number of non-believers in the internet, some of them are close to my heart but I never judged them about it. People just see things in different perspectives, and one wouldn't like it if we force the other to see what's our point of view. They have their own reasons and so are believers.

hello stacilyn.....Some years ago, this question was not asked, because everyone believe in God.......but today things have changed completely, and our children need us to prove existence of God , which becomes very difficult for us. Let me tell you that may be in good times people will ask for proof of existence of God, but in bad times they will automatically fold their hands and look up at sky and pray with tears in their eyes and automatically they will say " OH God!!!!, please help me, please listen to my prayer!!!!!!!!!! and if the prayers are true, God will listen to them, and help them so that they come out of bad time into good times.......but obviously as soon as we will come in good times, again we will forget him.......... For me yes, God is and he listens..he has been with me always and whenever I raised my hands for help.....he did miracles , because he loves all of us.But we become selfish and forget him. We can not prove is visibility , but his invisibility itself is the proof. It all depends on your faith and life experiences.

I think that it's a personal matter whether a person believe in something or not, especially when it comes to religion. The one thing I've found out about this subject is that you can't disprove or prove that god exists. This is the reson why so many people are seeking other alteratives to find some solace in their lifes. To me you sound as if you are a person who holds the existence of cause, as God, and the essential nature of things are unknown and unknowable or that human knowledge is limited to experience, In other words an agnostic.

God and religion is the same? - DIfferent god different religion same violence.
I guess there are many reason to believe a high power of good, it can be used as a tool to teach children to be good and not evil, beside solely on the corrupted police authority is not enought or wise, maybe teach children that there are higher force that cannot be corrupted hence putting some fear of avoiding evil and such.It said thing also when religion are used to torture and destroy others too.

I believe in some kind of supernatural/higher power. Just I believe that we can't get to know it and it doesn't have that much role in how our life shapes.
