When you have a big job to do, or problem to solve, do you get rid of the easiest things first? Or do you like to take on the most difficult task right from the start. I do the easiest first. It creates the impression that things are getting better.

I tend to work the same way. I also make sure to priortize based on when things HAVE to be done within a big project. Sometimes the easiest parts are the most time consuming.

I have a different way of working, I usually follow the given order of the problems. Especially in problem solving if the time limit is strict, I don't want to feel nervous for the difficult parts so I start from the beginning and continue without seperating easy and difficult tasks. If I have a difficulty, I continue to the next and come back later.

I am glad this technique is working for you. Unlike most of us, you are not afraid of facing difficulties. We do the easy stuff first because we want to put off difficult problems for as long as possible.

I usually do the esier thing first. I mean, I could get stuck with the more difficult one or take too much time, and in this case, something is still done :).

I agree with you, taking the easiest first. I believe this is what time management is all about, when you are done with the easiest, we may have enough time to cover the not so easy ones. It applies to any thing to me, learning curves really mean to any thing - teaching the basics to a baby - example - how to let him walk without support gradually, taking exams, errands, videogames, mountain climbing and many others.
