Success with Traffic Exchange websites?

Hi, I just joined a couple. I was wondering if any of you have had any real success with sites such as EasyHits4u and Traffic Swarm? In terms of gaining more referrals or marketing. And also receiving more viewers/subscribers in general.

Traffic Swarm was giving me even sales for my affiliate site once. Now, I'm not sure about that.
Generally, if we directly promote our link on any Traffic Exchnge site, the results are low. Whereas if we promote a splash page and then direct visitors to our main site, the conversions is little better. However, we can expect 1 or 2 referrals for 1000 views.

I have been a member of EasyHits4u for a couple of months. But i am sorry to say that I have not gained any satisfactory result as far as traffic to my blog is concerned. It may be that I have not been able to use it in the proper way.
