i feel that i should have not asked for my brother to buy this laptop before because it cost him $500. but the samsung tablet was much cheaper. since we have already a destop. i should not asked for a laptop. but i just learned recently that Samsung tablet can do skype and so i didn't know that before.if i knew it would have been my choice. because it is important for us to have a gadget for video calling. i have now a blackberry tablet but it can't download skype. it can only do video call with another blackberry users. unlike in samsung tablet it can video call to any one with skype either on their tablet or computers.

Hi, I thought of buying a laptop. I own neither laptop nor tablet. Could you suggest me what is the plus and minus for owning the two? It would be helpful for me.

I do have a laptop and its nice. But i still thinking of buying tablet since it more in nowadays. The pros of tablet: its is more portable than laptop. Its very much lighter that tablet. There's a lot of application in tablet. Its easy to use since it is touchscreen.
Pros of laptop, there is a lot of memory capacity than tablet.

Tablets are much more versatile nowadays especially with the Android platform. My phone and tablets are with the Android platform and most of the things that I need to do when I'm away from home is just a touchscreen away.

Are you having a blackberry playbook? If so, you can download the Android version of Skype...

I highly recommend tablet computers right now because they are smaller, slightly less complicated, and you can take them anywhere. The battery life for some of them even last longer.

good day hotsummer,
with regard to that, perhaps, you can sell that unit as a second hand then you can use the proceeds to buy a tablet that you are aiming. if nobody will really use the laptop, then you can post it for sale.

Since Android tablets were released, I never looked back to laptops again. Even with low memory storage, these tablets can do anything especially when you're far from your home PC. Its easy to carry and with the much needed Apps just a connection away, you'll never need anything else.

If you already have a desktop, a tablet is better than laptop but tablet doesn't give storage capacity as laptop but I think Samsung tablet supports up to 32gb microsd cards and some models up to 64gb.
Samsung tablets have a lot of features, if you have the use for it, it's a good option to have as it's more lighter than laptop it can carried with us ..

How does the Samsung tablet compare to an iPad?
I had a similar discussion asking people for their suggestion on whether I should sell out my laptop to buy an iPad. And, everyone advised to keep the laptop.
So, im wondering if this Samsung tablet would be the better alternative.

I think you should have bought an Ipad. You can do skype there and anything where an ordinary laptop can do. Maybe I can suggest you to sell your blackberry I buy an Ipad. Well its still your decision. Thanx!
